Abstract:
A method for adjusting an electrical length of a coaxial cable and a plug connector with an adjustable length that facilitates the adjustment of the electrical length of the cable are disclosed. With the method, both ends of the coaxial cable are terminated with a respective coaxial plug connector wherein at least one of the plug connectors has an adjustable length. One of the coaxial plug connectors is connected with a phase measurement device, and the other coaxial plug connector having the adjustable length is electrically shorted with a short-circuit plug. A pressing force is applied in an axial direction between the short-circuit plug and an outer conductor of the coaxial plug connector, until the phase measurement device indicates that the electrical length has reached a predetermined value.
Abstract:
A vehicle door latch has a forkbolt, a detent that holds the forkbolt in a latched position, a manually operated release mechanism that moves the detent to release the forkbolt, a lock mechanism for disabling the release mechanism, a double lock mechanism and a power operated unlatching mechanism that moves the detent to release the forkbolt independently of the manually operated release mechanism, the lock mechanism and the double lock mechanism. The power operated unlatching mechanism includes a power unlatching lever and a motor driven actuator having a jackscrew for moving the power unlatching lever.
Abstract:
An increased reaction velocity is achieved when gasifying a raw carboniferous material with H.sub.2 O. The raw material is suspended or emulsified in a liquid aqueous solution of a catalytically active salt, and the amount of the catalytically active salt and the pressure are such that the aqueous solution is maintained in the liquid phase.
Abstract:
A coaxial plug connector with an adjustable length is disclosed that can be used for adjusting the phase of a coaxial cable. The outer conductor of the coaxial plug connector is on the connection side received in the outer conductor of the coaxial plug connector on the cable-side by a press fit. The inner conductor of the plug connector can be displaced in an insulator support member by at least the adjustment distance of the outer conductor of the connector on the connection side.
Abstract:
A vehicle door latch has a forkbolt, a detent that holds the forkbolt in a latched position and a power operated release mechanism that moves the detent to release the forkbolt. The power operated release mechanism includes a power unlatching lever and a motor driven actuator having a jackscrew for moving the power unlatching lever via a slide, bell crank lever and bell crank link that provide a toggle enhancement. A mechanical override lever is provided to move the power unlatching lever in the event of power failure.
Abstract:
A process is disclosed of separating fine solids from oil in which the solids are dispersed which comprising contacting said oil with a combination of a compressed above-critical gas and an entraining agent at such temperature and such pressure that the system consisting of the oil, entraining agent and above-critical gas constitutes a single phase, withdrawing and separating the so-withdrawn phase into a liquid phase rich in oil and a gas phase lean in oil, the single-phase mixture of oil, entraining agent and above-critical gas from the solids.
