    摘要: Methods for processing print jobs in rendering devices include representing multiple to-be-printed objects with fewer such objects before processing of the objects occurs. In this manner, processing and memory requirements are optimized. Examples include utilizing a single raster operation function of one object for an entirety of objects; using fewer raster operation functions than originally required for the entirety of objects; creating a no processing (NOP) situation; and effectively creating a mask. Other aspects include modifying raster operation functions of one or more objects to have fewer variables than originally specified by the print job. Printers having stored or accessible computer executable instructions for performing the steps are also disclosed as are host devices that may direct or control the printer to perform the same.

    摘要: A gamut mapping algorithm especially adapted for printing business and presentation graphics with highly chromatic colors. To perform gamut mapping, gamut triangles corresponding to an input gamut and output gamut are defined and used to scale the lightness and chroma of input colors. The rescaled input colors are then mapped to the output triangle along lines of constant chroma. The chroma of the remapped colors is enhanced by moving the remapped colors toward the apex of the output gamut triangle along a line passing through the remapped color and the apex of the output gamut triangle.

    摘要: A cutter head including a cutter body portion having a first outer surface and a second outer surface located inward of the first outer surface. Both first and second outer surfaces are interrupted by a plurality of blade receiving slots which extend inward into the cutter body portion. The first and second outer surfaces are arranged such that an annular projection is formed protruding from the second outer surface and extending to the first outer surface. The annular projection is also interrupted by the plurality of cutting blade slots thus forming a plurality of individual projections. The cutter head additionally includes a clamping ring extending about the cutter body and secured to the annular projection. The clamping ring comprises first and second ring members which together define an inner receiving channel having a form complementary with the form of the annular projection whereby securing the first and second ring members together about the annular projection positions the annular projection in the receiving channel and secures the clamping ring to the cutter body. The cutter head may include a generally concave shaped clamping block which is attached to the receiving channel in the clamping ring. The cutter head may further comprise blade receiving slots wherein the inner end portion of the slots includes a pair of angled blade mounting surfaces. Also included are cutting blades having side portions of a form which is complementary to the angled blade mounting surfaces of the cutter head.

    摘要: A cutting tool comprising a cutter body member having a generally circular shape, a front surface, a back surface and an axis of rotation, the cutter body member includes an outer portion comprising a plurality of individual projections arranged spaced from one another about the cutter body with the space between successive projections defining receiving slots for cutting blades. The individual projections each further comprise an outer surface with at least one of the outer surfaces including a protrusion. Each of the blade receiving slots comprises opposing first and second side surfaces and an inner end portion with the inner end portion having a pair of angled mounting surfaces, one of the mounting surfaces extends from the first side surface and the other mounting surface extends from the second side surface with the angled mounting surfaces extending toward one another. Each of the angled mounting surfaces is oriented at an angle of less than 90 degrees with respect to its respective side surface. Preferably, one of the mounting surfaces is oriented at an angle of about 60 degrees while the other mounting surface is oriented at an angle of about 30 degrees.
