摘要： A tensile strand element for an article of footwear is disclosed. The tensile strand element includes one or more tensile strands secured at their endpoints between the sole and upper of an article of footwear, creating one or more looped portions. The unsecured looped portions may extend into the fastening region of the footwear and engage with a fastening system to tighten the footwear upper snugly against a wearer's foot to provide added support.

摘要： Uppers for article of footwear may include one or more skin layers attached to a base layer, wherein the skin layers overlap with one another in varying ways (e.g., with a first skin layer overlaying a second skin layer at some locations and the second skin layer overlaying the first skin layer at other locations). If desired, at least one of the skin layers may be at least partially transparent or translucent. The skin layer(s) may be applied over other elements of the upper (e.g., other skin layers, base layers, reinforcing layers, etc.). Additional aspects of this invention relate to production of curved tongue composite structures and/or footwear having a bonded (hot melt) side seam for forming the upper (and optionally do not include a rear heel seam).

摘要： An injector system, method and computer program product for detecting a vacuum within a syringe are provided. Various embodiments include an actuator device configured to be engaged with a piston member of a syringe for extending and retracting the piston member within the syringe. A controller device is also provided for detecting an output generated by the actuator device when retracting the piston member. The detected output may be associated with a pressure within the reservoir. The controller device determines, via the detected output, when the pressure comprises a selected negative pressure and provides an indicia of the negative pressure to a user and/or a signal to the actuator device.

摘要： A syringe device and injector system including a vent for relieving a vacuum within a syringe is provided. Embodiments provide a syringe device including a reservoir having a sidewall. The reservoir includes a dispensing distal end a proximal end. The syringe device also includes a piston in movable sealing engagement with the sidewall. Furthermore, the sidewall defines a vent extending from the proximal end of the reservoir. The vent is configured to interrupt the sealing engagement between the piston and the sidewall so as to allow a gas to enter the reservoir through the proximal aperture and past the piston member as the piston member is moved from the distal end to the proximal end of the tubular aperture.
