    摘要: Two parallel spun yarns (8, 8a) are wound onto a joint cross-wound bobbin (15) in the machine. If one of the yarns breaks (e.g. 8), the bobbin (15) and the supply of slivers (32, 32a) to the drafting arrangements (11, 11a) are stopped. An end of the unbroken yarn (8a) is taken up by a suction tube (69) and the broken end of the yarn (8) is wound up on the bobbin (15). The ends of the two yarns (8, 8a) are retrieved, reversely routed through the spinning units (12, 12a), the bobbin (15) and the draw-off device (14) are restarted and, the yarns (8, 8a) are deposited in and simultaneously withdrawn from the drafting arrangements (11, 11a) for joining therein with the end of restarted slivers (32, 32a). The sliver stoppers (30, 30a), however, are restarted at different times. In this manner, repair of a breakage in two yarns being jointly wound up on a common bobbin is achieved. During a subsequent twisting of the two yarns (8, 8a) to form a thread, the joined positions of the two yarns are offset along their lengths with respect to one another.

    摘要: A bale opening machine is provided with a safety apparatus, by means of which there are produced safety barriers or fences parallel to lengthwise sides of a row of bales to be opened and/or substantially perpendicular to the direction of movement of the bale opening machine. The safety apparatus moves in conjunction with the bale opening machine. The safety apparatus can comprise mechanical and/or sensory protective structure. The sensory protective structure comprises one or more electro-acoustical transducers arranged in a sonic chute together with one or more reference reflectors such that transmitted acoustical signals are split into a measuring signal and a reference signal. The reference signal is reflected at one of the reference reflectors, whereas the measuring signal is reflected at a deflection reflector into the monitored area and back again by an object located in the monitored area.

    摘要: A feed chute arrangement for textile machines, such as carding machines includes a feed chute having a plurality of walls one of which is gas-permeable to let gaseous medium to escape from the interior of the feed chute into a neighboring gas output chamber that is bounded by a plurality of additional walls different from the gas permeable wall. One of these additional walls is provided with an opening at which there is pivotally mounted a plate-shaped blocking flap selectively movable between its closed position and a plurality of open positions in which it offers various amounts of resistance to the flow of the gaseous medium from the gas output chamber through the opening into a connecting conduit and eventually into a discharge passage. Fiber material entrained in the gaseous medium and travelling therewith in a transporting duct enters the interior of the feed chute through an open upper end and deposits in the form of a fiber body at the lower end of the interior of the feed chute to be fed therefrom by a pair of feeding rollers. The gaseous transportation medium leaves the interior of the feed chute through the gas-permeable wall and then flows through the gas output chamber and through the opening. An operating device may be employed to move the blocking flap at least toward and into its closed position. A weight may be movably mounted on a bar extending transversely of the blocking flap to select the torque acting on the latter. The operating device may be controlled by the density of the fiber material passing between the feeding rollers.

    摘要: To control the yarn quality of a yarn produced by a textile machine, for instance a friction spinning apparatus, there is provided at the end of the friction spinning operation, however, forwardly of the pair of withdrawal rolls for the outfeed of the produced yarn, a yarn tension measuring device. Upon deviating from or falling outside of a predeterminate yarn tension tolerance value or range the yarn tension measuring device controls operation of the friction spinning apparatus such that, as required, there is accomplished an appropriate increase or decrease of the yarn tension of the yarn produced by the friction spinning apparatus. Alteration of the yarn tension can be acheived, for instance, by acting upon the drive for one of the friction spinning elements, to control the rotational speed thereof, or by selectively positioning the suction nozzle of a friction spinning element, or by controlling the size of the nip between coacting friction spinning elements, or selected combinations of such measures.

    摘要: In order to extract fiber flocks from individual textile fiber bale groups with a substantially constant extraction power independently of density variation distribution over the bale height, the individual bale groups are subdivided into a plurality of height zones exhibiting different densities of fiber material. Then, an extracting member provided with a rotating extraction head is moved through the upper zone with a relatively large penetration depth, while the penetration depth is gradually reduced during the movement of the extracting member through the next lower zone until the penetration depth desired for the next following lower zone is reached, from which point this penetration depth is maintained until reaching the lowermost zone during the movement through which the penetration depth is again gradually increased until the last layer to be extracted is reached. A control system for performing the above method includes a microprocessor which stores the inputted desired number of passes and penetration depths for the definition of the zones, and controls the movement of the extraction member accordingly.

    摘要: A take-off roll for opening fiber bales by loosening fiber flocks therefrom contains toothed discs mounted along and upon rotatable shaft. Each toothed disc comprises semi-circular or half-discs which substantially are in the form of half a circular ring. An approximately half or semi-circular ring-shaped cup is provided for each half-disc. Each of the half-discs is embedded in the cast cup or cup member, and the cup members of the half-discs which are assembled together to form one of the toothed discs surround the shaft in a substantially ring-shaped manner. The cup members are releasably mutually fixed and rigidly connected to the shaft by a press fit. Certain advantages of the inventive take-off roll consist in easy replacement of any damaged half-disc and its cup member, and a free adaptability of the staggering of the teeth between the toothed discs. This permits elimination of the occurrence of undesirable vibrations of the take-off roll. Finally, the embedding of the half-discs in the cast cup members permit, within wide limits, the choice of the optimum material for each of these parts. Thus, for instance, the cup members can be fabricated from a lightweight material and the half-discs from a very hard material.
