A super-efficient single-stage switching power amplifier is realized by not incorporating a rectification process in its power conversion loop while incorporating a bidirectional active clamping circuit to not only remove or maximally reduce otherwise occurring disruptive ringing and spikes but also convert the energy otherwise associated with the ringing and spikes to return energy that goes back to the DC power supply.
Abstract:
This application describes a system and method for diagnosing performance problems on a computing device or a network of computing devices. The application describes identifying common execution patterns between a plurality of execution paths being executed by a computing device or by a plurality of computing device over a network. The common execution pattern being based in part on common operations being performed by the execution paths, the commonality being independent of timing of the operations or the sequencing of the operations and individual executions paths can belong to one or more common execution patterns. Using lattice graph theory, relationships between the common execution patterns can be identified and used to diagnose performance problems on the computing device(s).
Abstract:
A switching amplifier realizes bidirectional energy flow and combines switching and power amplification into one single stage so as to increase system efficiency. The modulator circuit of the amplifier receives and modulates an input signal, and generates and outputs modulated driver signals, which are used by the power driver circuit to generate signals to drive switching transformers of an amplifier circuit of the amplifier, and control signals, which are used to control an output generator circuit so as to allow individual inductors across the load by enabling current flowing through the load to have a path to ground. The amplifier circuit comprises switching transformers as well as circuitries configured to capture energy returned from the load and enable the captured energy to flow back to a power supply circuit of the amplifier through an energy flow-back circuit of the amplifier.

A method and apparatus for improved digital recording and presentation of broadcast information is disclosed. Received broadcast data, which may include video, audio, private, or other data, relating to one or more particular content programs, is presented from an input section to a buffer and recorded directly onto a storage device without any intelligent parsing, such as indexing, and without any manipulation by intermediate hardware or software functions. Upon normal presentation, statistics may be generated to determine the ideal number of frames to skip, the number of bytes to seek, and the size of data files to read from the storage device during time-shifted presentation. Algorithms and processes are provided to dynamically optimize time-shifted presentation. In this way, data may be captured to the storage device more efficiently and economically, and the time-shifted presentation operations may be performed in a smoother, more nuanced manner with the application of appropriate probabilistic algorithms.

The techniques described herein provide tools that summarize a dataset by creating a final set of segments that, when visually presented via a histogram or other data presentation tool, show the distribution of at least a portion of the data. To create the final set of segments, the techniques described herein may collect or receive a dataset with distinct values, and divide the dataset into a number of segments that is less than or equal to a segment presentation threshold (e.g., ten segments). After creating the final set of segments, the techniques may configure and/or present data visualizations, such as histograms, for the created segments so that an observer is provided with a good viewing experience.
Abstract:
A smart portable stethoscope is formed of a smart mobile device and a casing assembly for the mobile device. The casing assembly comprises a casing member, a diaphragm holder member configured to securely and effectively retain a diaphragm, and a vibrator-transducer member. The casing member includes a diaphragm connector part configured to securely fasten the diaphragm holder member to the casing member. The vibrator-transducer member is configured to be securely fastened to diaphragm holder member or casing member in such a manner that its vibrator is disposed to interconnect with the diaphragm and effectively duplicate vibrations captured by the diaphragm so as to deliver medical-grade auscultation electronic signal based on the duplicated vibrations to the mobile device through an audio plug plugged into a microphone jack thereof.
