    Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a reusable yarn carrier tube for winding yarns thereon at high speeds. The yarn carrier tube may include a hollow cylindrical circumferential wall having an exterior surface and an interior surface which define a thickness of the circumferential wall and having a first end and a second end. The yarn carrier tube may further include a pick-up groove formed through the thickness of and extending in the azimuthal direction of the circumferential wall, having a first sidewall and a second sidewall defined by the thickness of the circumferential wall, and having a leading end and a trailing end. The structural features may include a barb directed toward the leading end of the pick-up groove, defining an inner slot and an outer slot. The structural features may further include within the inner slot, a first plurality of teeth and a second plurality of teeth.

    Abstract: A system for assembling a container and closure comprising an expanding collet which has a plurality of pivoting collet segments, each configured to simultaneously pivot radially outward about a pivot point and comprising. The collet comprises a lip that is engagable with the rim of the open end of the container and an angled tip positioned radially inward from the lip and shaped to press a countersink portion of the closure against an interior wall of the container as the collet segments pivot radially outward. As the container and the chuck are brought together, the rim engages with the lips of the collet segments and causes the angled tips of the collet segments to pivot outward toward the interior wall of the container, thereby pushing the countersink portion of the closure against the interior wall of the container.

    Abstract: A point-of-purchase (POP) display for hanging packages includes a backboard having a mounting area with a lower slot extending through the backboard. A hanger assembly includes a display rod with mounting and dispensing ends, and a mounting bracket having a horizontal bracket flange that transitions to a vertical bracket flange at a first flange bend A rod aperture is formed through the vertical bracket flange proximate the first flange bend. The horizontal bracket flange is inserted through the lower slot, and the mounting end of the display rod is inserted through the lower slot and into the rod aperture so that the dispensing end is disposed distal to the backboard so the hanging packages hang in front of the backboard. The mounting area may have an upper slot through which the vertical bracket flange may be inserted, and the backboard and the hanger assembly may be fabricated from re-pulpable materials.

    Abstract: The invention is directed to a system and method for sealing a closure to a container comprising a die assembly, a mandrel assembly, and a gas evacuation assembly. The mandrel assembly comprises an outer mandrel and an inner mandrel. The outer mandrel is configured to vertically translate and constrain a closure in position. The gas evacuation assembly, which comprises at least one hollow channel within the die and one or more channel openings into the interior of the die, suctions gas from the interior of an aligned container when the closure is constrained in position. The inner mandrel translates vertically to insert the closure into the container and a sealing member seals the closure in place.
