    摘要: A data communication system for a computer system in which computers are mutually connected includes: each computer having an area to store a command to execute data communication on the basis of it and a buffer area to store data; a switch circuit to mutually selectively connect the computers; and a transmission permitting component, connected between the switch circuit and one of the computers, for outputting a signal to permit the data transmission from one computer to another computer; a communication component for transmitting the data received from one computer by outputting the transmission permission signal from the transmission permitting component to another computer through the switch circuit; a detecting component to detect the occurrence of an abnormality regarding the data communication from one computer to another computer; and a communication control component to abandon the data that is subsequently received from one computer by outputting the transmission permission signal in accordance with an output of the detecting component. When the abnormality occurs, the switch circuit releases another computer, thereby disconnecting one computer and another computer. When reception commands prepared in the buffer area of another computer are perfectly used, another computer abandons the packet which does not include the flag to instruct the continuous reception.

    摘要: In a computer system in which nodes are connected to each other via a network, transmission and reception buffers of sender and receiver processes are prepared as resident areas in a main storage. A node of a receiver side notifies, prior to initiation of a communication, a physical address of a data reception area of the node to a node on a sender side. In the node on the sender side, the reported physical address is added to transmission data to transfer a resultant item. On the receiver side, reception data is written in a location of the main storage at the physical address. In the receiver node, the double buffering is employed to prevent an overwriting operation of another node onto the data reception area. The respective nodes achieve partial synchronization with adjacent nodes in chain, thereby automatically establishing synchronization between all nodes. A node on a receiver side notifies prior to initiation of a communication an identifier of a data reception area to a node on a sender side such that the sender node transmits data with the identifier added thereto. In the receiver node, the identifier added to the received data is compared with an identifier added to a data reception area thereof. If mismatching results, interruption is caused in a processor of the receiver node.

    摘要: A system is described which enables provision of information to a stored program operating on a computer coupled to the network. A device connected to the network includes input ports for receiving information and output ports for providing the received information to a destination. The computer is coupled to receive information from the output port, which information is addressed to the computer. Within the device a flow control table holds entries which include source addresses representative of at least one source of information arriving at the device input ports, destination addresses representative of at least one of the destinations to which the arriving information is to be sent from an output port. The table entries also include action information for each address, and the action information can take the form of a program reference. When the information is received by the computer it can use the received information in execution of the stored program.
