摘要: A battery-powered light source device 5 has an DC/DC converter 61 that boosts the supply voltage of a battery 51 and supplies electrical power to a lamp 31, and, inside this DC/DC converter 61, are provided a comparator 65 that compares a specific reference voltage to the output voltage of a DC/DC converter 61, and a control component 66 that keeps the output voltage from the DC/DC converter 61 at a specific lamp voltage on the basis of the comparison result of this comparator 65, whereby the supply voltage of the battery 51 is boosted and the optimal lamp voltage is obtained. Consequently, the battery-powered light source device 5 allows the brightness of the lamp to be adjusted and a high step-up efficiency to be obtained, and the battery can therefore be used more efficiently, and a more convenient use of the endoscope is possible.

摘要: An endoscope apparatus capable of preventing occurrence of problems trouble attributable to exhaustion of a battery has an endoscope and a battery-powered light source. The endoscope has a light guide fiber bundle over which illumination light is propagated. The battery-powered light source is freely detachably attached to the endoscope, and includes an illumination lamp and a battery. The illumination lamp supplies illumination light to the incidence end of the light guide fiber bundle on which illumination light falls. The battery serves as a power supply causing the illumination lamp to light. At least one of the endoscope and battery-powered light source has an indication unit for notifying a user of the amount of electrical energy contained in the battery.

摘要: In a treating apparatus, a forceps body as a treating device is connected to a generator as a control device. The forceps body mainly includes a pair of handle portions, which are used for manipulation by being held by an operator, a pair of jaws provided between the handle portion and the pair of jaws, which are used to coagulate/resect by grasping living-body tissue to be treated and a pair of scissors component members. A heating member, which is a heat generating source as a heat generating portion for applying heat energy to living-body tissue, is embedded at least one of the jaws. A pair of electrode portions, which is a treating energy generator, is provided to the pair of jaws. By supplying bipolar electric surgical knife current between the pair of electrode portions, high frequency current as treating energy is applied to the grasped living-body tissue.

摘要: An endoscope system comprising an endoscope which incorporates an imaging element together with an element for determining the type of the imaging element; a light source apparatus, which includes a DMD in a light path from a light source lamp, for determining incidence or non-incidence of the illuminating light from the light source lamp on a mirror; a CPU which determines the type of imaging element based on the information provided by the type determining element and detects a time required by the imaging element for charge reading based on the determination result; and a DMD control circuit which controls the DMD at a charge reading timing of the imaging element corresponding to the charge reading time detected by the CPU, the endoscope system making it possible to extend the exposure time to a maximum regardless of the type of the endoscope, by controlling the light shielding time of illuminating light in accordance with the type of the imaging element.

摘要: A control system with a microprocessor controls an output pressure of a water/air pump and a light amount of a light source lamp in an endoscope. Under control of a program, the microprocessor periodically accesses a decoder to periodically generate a pulse signal. The generated pulse signal is applied to a watch dog type detector for detecting an abnormal operation of the microprocessor. When the microprocessor operates abnormally and is detected, the microprocessor is reset, and an output pressure of a water/air pump and a light amount of a light source lamp are respectively set at the maximum levels independently of the control by the microprocessor.

摘要: A light supply apparatus for an endoscope comprises a discharge lamp for supplying light to an endoscope, and a microprocessor for controlling various devices such as a display unit for displaying data. The discharge lamp is ignited by an ignition signal. The microprocessor is reset by the ignition signal. The display unit is held in the same state as before the ignition of the lamp even when the microprocessor is reset.

摘要: A light source apparatus which comprises a flash discharge tube for illuminating a foreground subject, a switching element connected in series with the flash discharge tube, a light receiving circuit for photoelectrically converting light reflected by a foreground subject to produce a signal corresponding to the amount of light reflected from the received foreground subject and a decision circuit for producing an interruption signal for rendering the switching element non-conductive with partially as a function of the output signal of the light receiving circuit. A correction circuit for producing a correction signal in accordance with a preset film sensitivity is further provided. The decision circuit produces the interruption signal when the difference between the output signals of the correction circuit and light receiving circuit is reduced to zero.
