    摘要: The present invention provides compositions and methods for use in enzyme replacement therapy. The inventors disclose a method of producing membrane bound enzymes in an active soluble form by eliminating the glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) membrane anchor. In particular the inventors disclose a soluble active form of the membrane bound enzyme TNSALP which they produced by deleting the GPI anchor single peptide sequence. They have further shown that this composition is useful for treatment of hypophosphatasia. The inventors also disclose oligo acid amino acid variants thereof which specifically target bone tissue.

    摘要: A bone repair material being superior in apatite-forming ability and its stability in a storage and high in scratch resistance is disclosed. The material is produced by a method comprising the steps of: immersing a substrate made of titanium or a titanium alloy in a first aqueous solution that does not contain calcium ions but contains at least one cation selected from the group consisting of sodium ions and potassium ions and is alkaline; immersing the substrate in a second aqueous solution that does not contain phosphate ions but contains calcium ions; heating the substrate in a dry atmosphere; and treating the substrate with hot water of 60° C. or higher or with steam.

    摘要: A video magnifier includes a body including a base, a table on which an object to be read is placed, the table being disposed on the base, a video camera disposed over the table, an illumination lamp illuminating the object placed on the table and a pointer irradiating a part of the object photographed by the video camera, and a monitor television displaying a video image delivered from the video camera. In the video magnifier, in synchronization with irradiation of the photographed part of the object by the pointer, an illuminance of the illumination lamp is rendered lower than an illuminance of the pointer.

    摘要: To reduce moment generated at the proximal portion and the supporting portion of a brake pedal and to prevent an increase in weight even when the brake pedal is disposed outside a vehicle body and an operating unit is disposed away from the brake pedal within the vehicle body. A supporting shaft rotates integrally with the brake pedal by being connected with the brake pedal at one end with a supporting member for supporting both ends of the supporting shaft. An operating member is provided for operating an operating unit by rotation of the brake pedal and the supporting shaft by being connected to the other end of the supporting shaft at the position away from the brake pedal are provided. A pedal pad unit includes a flat depressing surface forming portion to be covered by a cover on the front face on which the driver depresses and a mounting portion extending from the depressing surface forming portion in the direction opposite from the cover for being pivotally mounted on the pedal lever unit. The depressing surface forming portion and the mounting portion are integrally formed.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus includes an image bearing member; a developing device including a carrying member for carrying a one component developer and for developing an electrostatic image formed on the image bearing member with the developer; a rotatable developer supplying device, contacted to the carrying member, for supplying the developer to the carrying member; a developer regulating device for regulating an amount of the developer carried on the carrying member; a developer stirring device for stirring the developer a developer supply device for supplying the developer to the developing device; and a controller for controlling supply of the developer to the developing device from the developer supply device. A lower end of the developer stirring device is disposed at a position which is vertically above an upper end of the developer supplying device and which is vertically above a contact portion between the carrying member and the developer regulating device. A direction of rotation of the developer supplying device is such that the developer supplying device is contacted to the carrying member during a downward part of the rotation of the developer supplying device. The controller controls the developer supply device such that a lower limit of a height of a surface of the developer is vertically above a lower end of the developer stirring device and an upper limit of the height of the surface of the developer is vertically below a wall of an upper surface of the developing device.
