摘要: To securely prevent from battery depletion and enable transfer data without troubling a user, a communication address data storage unit stores a communication address datum such as an IP address, a telephone number of the predetermined information management apparatus arranged outside an electric car. When an accessory switch of the electric car is in OFF state, it is judged by a charge state judge unit whether or not the battery is in charging. When it is judged by the charge state judge unit that the battery is in charging, a control unit controls a radio communication unit to execute at least one action of transmitting updatable data and receiving update data for updating the updatable data between the information management apparatus. As a result, the car-mounted information apparatus can communicate by radio with the information management apparatus outside the electric car while the battery is in charging.

摘要: A pipette includes a cylinder having a distal end portion to which a pipette tip is removably fitted; and a piston fitted to be freely advanced and retreated in a cylinder chamber. The piston is retreated to suck liquid and advanced to eject the liquid thus sucked. The piston includes, on an outer periphery thereof, a communication groove for allowing an inside of the cylinder chamber to communicate with an outside of the cylinder chamber when the piston is advanced by an amount corresponding to a dimension larger than a predetermined dimension. The communication groove is located on the outside of the cylinder chamber when the piston is located at a retreated position. When the piston is advanced by the amount corresponding to the dimension larger than the predetermined dimension, a seal between the cylinder chamber and the piston is released so that pressure in the cylinder chamber becomes equal to the atmospheric pressure, and a suction/ejection effect is eliminated.

摘要: A polishing method can safely detach and lift up a workpiece from a polishing surface without carrying out the operation of making the workpiece overhang the polishing surface. The polishing method includes carrying out processing of a surface to be polished of a workpiece by supplying a liquid to a polishing surface while pressing the surface to be polished of the workpiece held by a holding device against the polishing surface and moving the workpiece and the polishing surface relative to each other, attracting the workpiece after the processing to the holding device while supplying the liquid to the polishing surface at a decreased flow rate, thereby detaching the workpiece from the polishing surface, and lifting up the holding device together with the workpiece on confirmation of detachment of the workpiece from the polishing surface and attachment of the workpiece to the holding device.

摘要: A polishing method is used for polishing a substrate such as a semiconductor wafer to a flat mirror finish. A method of polishing a substrate by a polishing apparatus includes a polishing table (100) having a polishing surface, a top ring (1) for holding a substrate and pressing the substrate against the polishing surface, and a vertically movable mechanism (24) for moving the top ring (1) in a vertical direction. The top ring (1) is moved to a first height before the substrate is pressed against the polishing surface, and then the top ring (1) is moved to a second height after the substrate is pressed against the polishing surface.

摘要: A compound container which is comprised of a container main body 2 forming a first accommodation chamber 20 and an auxiliary container 3 forming a second accommodation chamber 30, wherein a mounting part 22 on which the auxiliary container 3 is mounted is provided in the container main body 2 and a cutting part 221 which cuts a second accommodation chamber partition wall 30a which partitions part of the second accommodation chamber 30 formed in the auxiliary container 3 is formed, and when the auxiliary container 3 is mounted on the container main body 2, the second accommodation chamber partition wall 30a is cut, whereby the first accommodation chamber 20 and the second accommodation chamber 30 are intercommunicated. As a result, if contents which are needed to be heat-treated are heated while keeping the state where the contents are sealed within the container, the contents which are sealed in a plurality of accommodation chambers formed in the container can be mixed while keeping the contents being isolated from the outside environment by effectively preventing the contents to be heated from leaking outside as well as by preventing deterioration of sealing performance.
