    摘要: Disclosed is a toner binder which has high storage stability and can achieve both of good low-temperature fixability and good hot offset resistance (a broadened fixing temperature range). Specifically disclosed is a toner binder comprising, as constituting units, a carboxylic acid component (x) and a polyol component (y), wherein the component (x) comprises two or more kinds of dicarboxylic acids (X1), selected from among aromatic dicarboxylic acids and ester-forming derivatives of the same, in a total amount of 80 mol % or more and a trivalent or higher polycarboxylic acid (x2); the component (y) comprises a polyester resin (P) which is constituted by a polyester resin (A) comprising 80 mol % or more of an aliphatic diol (y1) having 2 to 10 carbon atoms optionally together with a linear polyester resin (B); and the storage modulus at 150° C. [G′150] of resin (A) is 20000 dyn/cm2 or more and the ratio of [G′150] to the storage modulus as 180° C. [G′180] thereof, i.e., [G′150]/[G′180], is 15 of less.

    摘要: A method for producing a polymer is provided. The polymer improves variations in the content ratio and molecular weights of a copolymer's constitutional units, solvent solubility, and the sensitivity of a resist composition using such a polymer. The method includes polymerizing two or more monomers while adding with a polymerization initiator to obtain the polymer, feeding a first solution containing first composition monomers in an initial polymerization stage, and starting dropwise addition of a second solution containing second composition monomers after or simultaneously with the feeding of the first solution. The second composition is equal to a target composition ratio of the polymer to be obtained. The first composition is calculated in advance based on a target composition ratio and the reactivity of the monomers. The above dropping rate is set to high.

    摘要: In an authenticity determining apparatus, an image-data acquiring unit acquires image data of a paper sheet; a block-value calculating unit divides the image data into a plurality of blocks each composed of a plurality of pixels and calculates a block value of each of blocks; an average-block-value calculating unit calculates an average block value of blocks composing a predetermined area of the image data; a correction-block-value calculating unit calculates a corrected block value of each of the blocks by correcting each of the block values so that the average block value is equal to a predetermined reference value; and an authenticity determining unit that determines authenticity of the paper sheet based on whether each of corrected block values of the blocks composing the predetermined area is within a predetermined allowable numerical range that is preliminarily defined for the predetermined area.
