摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a punching method using a punch, which makes it possible to effectively improve the durability of a tooth portion of the punch. In a punching method using a punch for forming a through-hole in a workpiece by punching the workpiece using a punch, at least a tooth portion of the punch is made substantially solid when the workpiece is punched by the punch, and the tooth portion is made substantially hollow, thereby a diameter of the tooth portion is reduced by a reaction force received from the workpiece, when the workpiece is separated from the punch after the punching of the workpiece.

摘要: An internal combustion engine includes: a variable valve train mechanism, configured to receive a cam displacement of an inlet cam so as to vary a driving output for driving an inlet valve continuously from a maximum valve lift to a minimum valve lift so as to match the driving output with a running condition of the internal combustion engine; and a control part, configured to control the variable valve train mechanism so as to set a valve lift of the inlet valve to a starter valve lift when starting the internal combustion engine in a cold state. The starter valve lift is formed so that a valve opening period of the inlet valve is set to encompass an overall area of an induction stroke period of the internal combustion engine from a top dead center to a bottom dead center of the induction stroke period.

摘要: A valve mechanism for an internal combustion engine includes a first rocker arm (4) connected to an intake or exhaust valve and supported on a rocker shaft (3a), a second rocker arm (5) supported on the rocker shaft for being rotationally driven by a cam, a cylinder (10) formed on one of the first and second rocker arms (4, 5) and a first piston (11) provided in the cylinder, a contacting projection (4a) projecting on the other one of the first and second rocker arms, a return spring (12) for biasing the first piston in a direction in which the first piston contacts with the contacting projection, and a second piston (14) for displacing the first piston to a position at which the first piston does not contact with the contacting projection. The two pistons extend in parallel to each other when the first piston is at a non-contacting position.

摘要: A variable valve train apparatus (20) of the present invention uses a camshaft (10) provided for rotation in an internal combustion engine (100), a cam (15) formed on the camshaft, a rocking cam (45) which is provided for rocking motion in the internal combustion engine and driven by the cam, an intake valve (5) or an exhaust valve (6) which is driven by the rocking cam, a control shaft (11) provided for rotation and side by side with the camshaft in the internal combustion engine, a control arm (72) having one end held on the control shaft and the other end projecting from the control shaft, an actuator (43) which rotates the control shaft to displace the control arm, a transmission arm (35) which is connected to the other end of the control arm for rocking motion around a rocking axis in substantially the same direction as an axial direction of the control shaft and transmits a displacement of the control arm to the rocking cam, and an adjustment mechanism (80) which adjusts a distance between an axis of the control shaft and the rocking axis of the transmission arm.
