Disclosed is a method for measuring at least one glycoprotein selected from alpha-1-acid glycoprotein (AGP) and Mac-2-binding protein (M2BP) contained in a sample collected from a subject, comprising: measuring AGP binding to a first lectin selected from AOL and MAL, when the glycoprotein is AGP; and measuring M2BP binding to a second lectin selected from WFA, BPL, AAL, RCA120, and TJAII, when the glycoprotein is M2BP.

The invention thus provides a motor driving apparatus that supplies energy to a motor so that the peak of the input current from a power supply to the motor can also be suppressed when particularly large energy is needed during the second half period of motor acceleration.

A motor driving apparatus capable of drivingly controlling a plurality of inverter units with a single motor driving command from a motor control unit, and thereby control a large-capacity motor or the like. The motor control unit sends out a single motor driving command (torque command) S. An intermediary unit obtains motor driving commands S×A1 to S×A4 for the inverter units by multiplying the motor driving command S by each of coefficients A1 to A4 set in advance. The inverter units are fed with the motor driving commands S×A1 to S×A4 individually and drive a single motor. Since the motor is driven by the total current supplied by the inverter units, the motor can generate a large torque. The motor control unit only needs to generate a single motor driving command S, and hence only needs to operate a single processing part. Hence, the motor control unit can generate and send out motor driving commands for other motors to drive them.

A communication apparatus and method provides communication in a controller of an industrial machine which is not affected by disconnection of cables, external electrical noise, nor complicated lead-around cable work. Communication between a numerical control device, as a main control unit, and servo amplifiers, as drive control units servo motors of a machine tool, is performed by way of infrared communication. The communication may take the form of input/output voltage commands, i.e. PWM commands, and feedback signals. By way of the infrared communication, lead-around cable operation, disconnection, and external electrical noises are eliminated, while simplifying machine tool layout design.

A method for estimating a load acting on a machine tool and controlling a life of the machine tool based on the estimated load. When predetermined machining is effected on a predetermined workpiece, a disturbance load torque acting on a motor for a spindle or a motor for a feed shaft is estimated by a disturbance estimating observer. When the estimated disturbance load becomes not lower than a set reference value, a timer is reset and started. If the estimated disturbance load torque is kept not smaller than the set reference value until the timer reaches a predetermined set time, a tool change command is issued to stop the machining. Since the tool life is determined in accordance with the magnitude of the load acting on the tool, the tool life is controlled objectively and accurately.

An abnormality detecting method for a servo system capable of quickly detecting an abnormal condition even in a low rotation speed range is provided.While a digital servo control section (11-13) is executes a servo control operation for controlling the drive of a servomotor in accordance with a torque command (Tc) derived from a speed feedback (VA) and a speed command (Vc) corresponding to an actual position deviation (Er), a simulator (14) integrates a speed command (Vcs) equal to the product of a position loop gain (PG) and an estimated position deviation (Ers) obtained by subtracting a position feedback (PAS) from a movement command (Me). The simulator thus derives the position feedback (PAS), and an excessive error detecting section (15) compares the difference (Er-Ers) between the actual position deviation and the estimated position deviation with a predetermined value (As). When an abnormal condition occurs, the actual position deviation is increased while no substantial variation occurs in the estimated position deviation generated by the simulator for simulatively effecting a normal servo control operation. Hence the difference between the deviations reaches a predetermined value representing an occurrence of an abnormal condition, so that an alarm is generated.

A first and a second motor drive amplifiers connected to a motor drive power supply include a first and a second memories which store specifications of the amplifiers, respectively. A memory provided in a power supply unit stores an overcurrent detection value for detecting an overcurrent according to the specifications of the respective motor drive amplifiers. A microcontroller reads the specifications from the first and second memories, and integrates overcurrent detection values corresponding to the respective specifications. If a current sensor detects that a current exceeding a reference value calculated based on a set integrated value, the current sensor outputs an overcurrent detection signal.
