    摘要: Plasma display panel in which the fluorescent layer comprises non-saturating green phosphor(s). This improves the efficacy of UV-light generation and allows the use of higher sustain voltages, leading to further improvement of the efficacy and luminance. The display panel may include drive means for sustaining a generated plasma with a sustain voltage whose peak-to-peak voltage is a least 400 V. This can be combined with existing red and blue phosphor to obtain a desired color.

    摘要: In, for example a field emission display, the invention provides the possibility of combining a plurality of sub-substrates that are attached to a larger rear wall, because notably different modes of multiplexing provide a wider positioning tolerance of a sub-substrate with respect to the front plate. Moreover, the different multiplexing techniques lead to a smaller number of connections, even if no use is made of a rear wall supporting of sub-substrates. A plurality of multiplexing techniques provides the possibility of activating a substantially equally large number of pixels of different colours during parts of an image period, so that there is substantially no colour flicker.

    摘要: A flat-panel type picture display device having a face plate with a luminescent screen at the inner side and, arranged at a short distance therefrom, a rear wall adjoined by a large number of electron transport ducts operating by means of wall interaction of electrons. A selection structure for withdrawing electrons from transport ducts and for directing them towards pixels on the luminescent screen comprises a preselection structure provided with preselection locations and a fine-selection plate provided with fine-selection apertures, each preselection location being associated with at least two fine-selection apertures. To improve contrast and/or color purity, an apertured obstruction plate forming chicanes in the electron paths is arranged between the preselection plate and the fine-selection plate.
