    摘要： A contactless, three-dimensional fingerprint scanner apparatus, method, and system are described. The contactless fingerprint scanner can provide either, or both, topographical contrast of three-dimensional fingerprint features and optical contrast of a three-dimensional fingerprint surface. Data captured from scanning of a target with known geometric features mimicking fingerprint features can be examined as images or surface plots and analyzed for fidelity against the known target feature specifications to evaluate or validate device capture performance as well as interoperability. The target can be used by scanner vendors and designers to validate their devices, as well as to perform type certification.

    摘要： A security system and a method and apparatus utilize a transmitter and a receiver with a GPS sub-system in a GPS appliance. Ephemeris and almanac data are updated at preprogrammed times within coordinated windows of opportunity. Each GPS receiver is preferably kept in an inactive state to reduce power consumption except at the preprogrammed times and uses time-compressed formats of GPS ephemeris data. An additional receiver makes possible the use of a coordinated window of opportunity whereby the receiver is set to an active state to receive complete ephemeris data sets when transmitted. The security system monitors conditions. Security sensors may respond to a condition to “awaken” a transmitter that may then transmit a report providing the location of the appliance. The report may include manifest information such as the identity of a container to which the GPS system is affixed, the sensor reporting the breach and its location.

    摘要： Stackable and interlocking carrying cases in which to transport rack mounted electronics of the kind having particular application at a mobile tactical command and control center. A plurality of carrying cases are stacked one above the other to form columns suitable for transport on a pallet and for making a modular desk or table to be located in a tent or similar enclosure for use by command and control center personnel. Each carrying case has a pair of detachable side panels that are adapted to be connected side-by-side one another to form a substantially flat working surface for use as a removable top to extend across a pair of columns of carrying cases. Each of the pair of detachable side panels carries a pair of support bars that are rotatable so as to extend between and thereby connect the side panels together so as to be capable of holding the usual office equipment and supplies. By virtue of the detachable side panels, a modular desk or table can be quickly and easily assembled in the field entirely from the plurality of carrying cases.

    摘要： There is provided a medicament dispenser for use with a medicament carrier having a plurality of pockets (124) for containing medicament wherein said pockets are spaced along the length of and defined between two peelable sheets (112, 114) secured to each other, said dispenser having an internal mechanism for accessing said medicament contained within said medicament carrier. The internal mechanism includes indexing means comprising an index ratchet (120) which is moveable between a locked position whereby said ratchet engages a pocket on the medicament carrier and prevents further peeling thereof, and a release position allowing free movement of said medicament carrier. Actuation of the medicament dispenser actuates lid-driving means (134) to release the index ratchet from the medicament carrier to allow peeling thereof.
