Abstract:
A reformer tube for producing synthesis gas by steam reforming of hydrocarbon-containing feed gases, preferably natural gas, includes one or more helically coiled heat exchanger tubes which are arranged within a catalyst bed of a reforming catalyst and are helically coiled over part of their length located within the catalyst bed and are otherwise straight are present, where the straight proportion of the heat exchanger tubes and/or the helix pitch of the helically coiled part alters within the catalyst bed and matching to requirements of the pressure drop, the heat exchange properties, and the corrosion resistance.
Abstract:
A process of producing a catalyst based on pentasil-type crystalline aluminosilicate is described, including the steps of (a) treating hydrous aluminium oxide with an aqueous, acid-containing medium, (b) mixing the hydrous aluminium oxide treated with aqueous, acid-containing medium from step (a) with an H-zeolite and (c) calcining the mixture obtained in step (b). In addition, a catalyst is disclosed which is obtained by such a process, as well as its use in CMO and OTO processes.
Abstract:
A catalyst containing a pentasil-type alumosilicates and a binder, in the form of spheres having an average diameter between 0.3 and 7 mm, wherein the BET surface area of the catalyst ranges from 300 to 600 m2/g. Also disclosed is a method for producing the catalyst, wherein primary crystallites of the aluminosilicate having an average diameter of at least 0.01 μm and less than 0.1 μm are mixed with the binder, shaped into spheres having an average diameter between 0.3 and 7 mm, and subsequently calcined. Also disclosed is the use of the catalyst for converting methanol into olefins, in particular propylene. Also disclosed is a method for producing olefins from methanol, in which a feed gas is fed across the catalyst.
Abstract:
A process for producing a product containing C3H6 and C2H4 includes simultaneous conversion of MeOH and EtOH in an adiabatic sequentially operated reactor containing a plurality of reaction stages. Each of the plurality of reaction stages of the reactor is provided with a fixed bed of a form-selective catalyst. A gaseous feed stream including MeOH, DME and H2O is charged to at least a first of the reaction stages of the reactor with a temperature in a range of 300 to 600° C. at a pressure in a range of 0.1 to 20 bar[a]. EtOH is fed into at least, one of the reaction stages of the reactor.
