摘要： A liquid crystal display device is provided. The liquid crystal display device includes an over driving data generator that compares a gray level of a data signal of a present frame with a gray level of a data signal of a previous frame to output an over driving data signal. The data signal has a bit number of n. A data drive IC generates level voltages having a number of more than 2n and outputs one of the level voltages of the over driving data signal. A liquid crystal panel includes a pixel applied with the one of the level voltages.

摘要： An apparatus and method for driving an LCD device is provided. The apparatus for driving an LCD device comprises an image display unit that includes liquid crystal cells formed in each region defined by a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of data lines. A data driver supplies analog video signals to the respective data lines. A gate driver supplies scan pulses to the respective gate lines. A data converter detects motion vectors from input data and generating modulated data by filtering the input data in accordance with the motion vectors to generate overshoot or undershoot in a boundary along a motion direction. A timing controller aligns the modulated data to supply the aligned data to the data driver and operates the data driver and the gate driver.

The liquid crystal module includes a liquid crystal panel, an optical sheet provided on a rear surface of the liquid crystal panel, an interface disposed on a rear surface of the liquid crystal panel, a power receiver disposed on the rear surface of the liquid crystal panel, a memory card and a timing controller for receiving second image data from external devices and permitting the first image data stored in the memory card to be displayed in the liquid crystal panel. The cradle includes a lamp emitting light, an inverter for supplying alternating current to the lamp, a connector for receiving third image data from external equipment, and an interface converter for applying the third image data to the interface of the liquid crystal module.

摘要： The liquid crystal display device includes a histogram analyzer analyzing a histogram of an input image and determining the input image as being in one of a low brightness mode, a normal mode, and a high brightness mode based on the histogram analysis, a back light controller controlling a maximum brightness of a back light unit based on the mode determination, and a data modulator enlarging the histogram of the input image to modulate data of the input image. The histogram analyzer detects a most frequent value of gray scale occurring most frequently in the input image of one frame, compares the most frequent value with a predetermined low reference gray value and a predetermined high reference gray value, and determines the input image as in one of the low brightness mode, the normal mode, and the high brightness mode based on the compared result.
