摘要： A developer conveyance apparatus for an image forming apparatus includes a developer storage portion configured to store developer, a developer conveyance portion arranged inside the developer storage portion and configured to convey the developer through rotation, a drive input portion configured to input a drive force to the developer conveyance portion, and a clutch arranged inside the developer storage portion and configured to transmit the drive force from the drive input portion to the developer conveyance portion, the clutch stopping or decelerating a rotation of the developer conveyance portion when a requisite torque for rotating the developer conveyance portion exceeds a predetermined magnitude, wherein the clutch is arranged inside the developer storage portion and includes at least one clutch side conveyance portion which, when receiving the drive force from the drive input portion, conveys the developer in a developer conveyance direction in which the developer conveyance portion conveys the developer.

摘要： A cartridge is detachably mountable to the main assembly of an electrophotographic image forming apparatus. The cartridge comprises a developer accommodating portion for accommodating a developer, and a developing roller for developing an electrostatic latent image formed on an electrophotographic photosensitive drum with the developer. A rotational force receiving member is provided for receiving a rotational force for rotating the developing roller. A side cover is provided with an elastic member and an inclination regulating portion for regulating an inclination of the rotational force receiving member. The side cover is mounted to a cartridge frame by the fastening member, with the rotational force receiving member being mounted to the cartridge frame integrally with the side cover.

摘要： A rotating force transmitting part is provided for an electrophotographic photosensitive drum for a main assembly of the electrophotographic image forming apparatus. The main assembly includes a motor-driven shaft having a rotating force applier. The drum is dismountable from the main assembly in a direction substantial perpendicular with an axial direction of the shaft. The part includes a coupler engageable with the force applier to receive a rotational force for rotating the drum when mounted to the main assembly. The coupler moves between a position for transmitting the rotational force for rotating the drum to the drum and a disengaged position inclined away from the axis of the drum. When the cartridge is dismounted from the main assembly substantially perpendicular to the axis of the drum, the coupler moves from the transmitting position to the disengaging position.
