摘要： A random copolymer comprises recurring units each having the formula of; ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 to R.sup.10 stand for a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group with or without R.sup.5 being bonded to R.sup.6 or R.sup.10 via an alkylene group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms. The random copolymer contains 50 to 90 mol % of ethylene. The random copolymer has an intrinsic viscosity [.eta.] of 0.3 to 10 dl/g measured in Decalin.RTM., i.e., decahydronphthalene at 30.degree. C.

摘要： A process for separating porphyrins, which comprises(1) adjusting the pH of the liquid phase of a culture broth containing at least two porphyrins to about 2.5 to about 4 and collecting the resulting solid containing the porphyrins,(2) either (a) preparing an acidic aqueous solution of said solid and adjusting the pH of its liquid phase left after removal of insoluble matter to about 6 to about 8 to form an aqueous solution containing the porphyrins, or (b) preparing an acid-containing lower alcohol solution of said solid, adjusting the pH of its liquid phase left after removal of insoluble matter, adding water in an amount at least twice the amount of the solution to precipitate lower alkyl esters of the porphyrins, collecting the precipitates and dissolving them in an organic solvent to form an organic solvent solution of the porphyrin esters,(3) contacting the solution obtained in (a) or (b) in step (2) with a copolymer having a surface area of at least about 700 m.sup.2 /g and derived from(i) divinylbenzene,(ii) styrene or its functional derivative,(iii) an alkenyl ester of a benzenepolycarboxylic acid represented by the following formula ##STR1## wherein R represents an alkenyl group having 3 to 10 carbon atoms, and n is 2 or 3,thereby permitting adsorption of the porphyrins or their esters to the copolymer, and(4) thereafter, eluting the copolymer to obtain fractions of the individual porphyrins or their esters; and an adsorbent for use in the above-mentioned process.

摘要： An instructing system for a four-wheel drive vehicle powered by an internal combustion engine comprises a transmission for transmitting power from the engine to two main driving wheels, a clutch for selectively transmitting the power to auxiliary two-wheels, and a select lever for engaging the clutch. Speed detectors are provided for detecting both the speed of the two main driving wheels and the two auxiliary wheels. An electric circuit compares both speeds and turns on a lamp when the difference between both speeds exceeds a predetermined level, whereby slipping of the two main driving wheels is indicated.

摘要： In manufacturing a chip-scale package, a plurality of pads is formed in predetermined positions on an active face of an IC wafer, and projected electrodes are formed on the pads. Then, a groove is formed on the active face of the IC wafer along a line that the IC wafer is divided into individual pieces, and a protective resin is applied on the active face of the IC wafer including the groove. Thereafter, an adhesive member is applied on the active face on which the protective resin is applied, and an inactive face of the IC wafer which is fixed by the adhesive member is ground until the protective resin in the groove appears at the inactive face of the IC wafer. Then, the adhesive member applied to the active face is removed, and an adhesive member is applied to a ground face of the IC wafer, which has been ground in the grinding step. The protective resin is diced along the line into chip-scale packages in a state where the IC wafer is fixed by the adhesive member, and after that, the adhesive member applied to the ground face is removed.

摘要： A bump is formed on a semiconductor wafer which has a pad electrode thereon. The method includes the steps for coating a first organic film on a semiconductor water; drying the first organic film; applying an excimer laser to a portion of the first organic film substantially corresponding to the pad electrode to thereby form a first opening in the organic film; forming at least one metallic film on the first organic film and the opening; coating a second organic film on the metallic film; drying the second organic film; applying an excimer laser to a portion of the second organic film substantially corresponding to the first opening to thereby form a second opening in the second organic film; and providing and melting solder at the second opening to form a solder bump. Since the openings of the organic films are formed by the excimer laser, the openings can be formed in a short time with high accuracy. Thus, the bump with high quality can be formed at a low cost.
