摘要: Example implementations relate to predicting the health of an aircraft component based on a hybrid digital twin. A computing system receives nominal operational data and operational data from aircraft sensors based on flights by an aircraft to evaluate an aircraft component on the aircraft. The computing system can estimate first parameters corresponding to the aircraft component based on a nominal digital twin using the nominal operational data outside respective alerts corresponding to the aircraft component and second parameters corresponding to the aircraft component based on an operational digital twin using the operational data. The computing system then estimates a first health parameter and a second health parameter for the aircraft component based on the first parameters and the second parameters, respectively. The computing system performs a comparison between the first health parameter and the second health parameter in order to provide a value for the aircraft component that represents the health of the aircraft component.

摘要: Systems and methods for enabling charged (ionized) air mass measurement for reliable air data computation onboard an aircraft. Ionic charge sensing may be used to derive air data having improved reliability. The systems and methods for ionic charge sensing employ an emitter electrode and two or more collector electrodes, which electrodes are disposed in proximity to the exterior skin of the aircraft and exposed to ambient air. The emitter electrode is positioned forward of the collector electrodes. The system further includes a solid-state ionic air data module that converts currents from the collector electrodes into air data parameter values. More specifically, the ionic air data module is configured to sense currents induced in the collector electrodes in response to corona discharge produced by the high-voltage emitter electrode.

摘要: Inkjet printing systems and methods dynamically control meniscus pressure at a nozzle to more reliably deliver ink to a substrate. The systems and methods include inferring an angle of a longitudinal axis of a printhead relative to the vertical reference axis based on an orientation signal from an orientation sensor, determining a target feed fluid pressure upstream of the nozzle and a target recirculation fluid pressure downstream of the nozzle, thereby to maintain a target pressure differentiation across the nozzle based, at least in part, on the inferred angle of the longitudinal axis, and controlling a variable feed pump speed and a variable recirculation pump speed to obtain the target feed fluid pressure and the target recirculation fluid pressure.

摘要: A secondary communication system for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is provided. The secondary communication system comprises at least one motor on the UAV and a motor controller in each motor that generates a signal from noise generated by the motor. A connector is configured to connect a towed sensor assembly to the UAV. A sensor acts as a receiver for the UAV, wherein the sensor receives a signal from a transmission source other than the UAV. The sensor is towed on the connector at a distance from the UAV sufficient to prevent or minimize interference of the received signal by the noise generated by the motor.

摘要: A method is provided for horizon detection. The method includes acquiring an image that depicts a view of an environment, and defining a line pattern of lines that divide the image into respective pairs of image segments. The line pattern is formed of lines that are parallel, or intersecting at a common point of intersection. The method includes searching the lines of the line pattern to identify one of the lines as an estimated true horizon in the image that divides the image into a respective pair of image segments at a boundary of greatest difference in average brightness between the image segments from among the respective pairs of image segments. The method includes determining true horizon in the image from the estimated true horizon. The method may also include an evaluation of the estimated true horizon or the true horizon as to verify one or more expected characteristics.
