摘要: The invention describes an air-breathing fuel cell for the oxidation of ions with air or oxygen, having an anode half cell and a cathode half cell. A first ion-conducting membrane and a second ion-conducting membrane is introduced between the half cells, and the second ion-conducting membrane is coated at least in regions on the side orientated towards the cathode half cell with a catalyst for the reduction of oxygen. According to the invention, the air-breathing fuel cell is characterised in that an oxidation zone for the oxidation of ions with negative standard electrode potential is provided between the ion-conducting membranes.

摘要: In a method for manufacturing a bar winding for the stator of an electric machine, in particular of a claw pole alternator for motor vehicles, resistance welding is used to form mechanically and electrically reliable and permanent connections in the winding overhang of the stator even with winding configurations that include four or more superposed conductor segments, and even with the very small amount of working space that remains for the necessary connections, using a minimum of production-related outlay. With a design, in particular, of four radially superposed conductor segments in the winding overhang, particularly advantageous configurations result in terms of the placement of the bar ends and in terms of the design of the welding electrodes.

摘要: The methods of the invention include interrogating a user provided “Abandoned Property DataBase” (APDB) and assigning a probable escheat jurisdiction to each account based on a series of user-selected processing options. The invention appends confidence codes indicating how each escheat decision was reached, enabling users to make informed decisions as to which accounts require additional manual review and ultimately, which escheat to each jurisdiction. The invention can also correct addresses, parse extraneous data, append alternate escheat jurisdictions, provide Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) compliance validation, and allow real-time review and updating of account data and escheat determinations. The invention will increase the likelihood of lost assets being reunited with their rightful owners and/or turned over to the proper jurisdiction.

摘要: A food waste disposer system includes a housing with a grinding mechanism situated in the housing for reducing food waste. A motor drives the grinding mechanism. An outlet receives the reduced food waste from the grinding mechanism to discharge the food waste from the disposer housing. A water flow detector senses water flow through the disposer, and the disposer motor is controlled in response to the sensed water flow through the disposer.

摘要: Various mechanisms for reducing food waste in a food waste disposer are disclosed. In each of the reduction mechanisms, structures are provided for shearing food waste as it passes through or past a rotating shredder plate of the disposer. In one embodiment, the reduction mechanism has a rotatable plate coupled to a rotational source and positioned for rotation relative to an inner wall of a stationary ring. The plate has a fixed lug attached to the rotatable plate and has a movable lug attached to the rotatable plate. In another embodiment, the reduction mechanism includes a rotatable plate coupled to a rotational source and a stationary plate disposed adjacent the rotatable plate. The stationary plate or impeller defines a plurality of apertures therethrough. At least one first portion of the rotatable plate or impeller shears over at least some of the apertures in the stationary plate to shear the food waste.
