    摘要: An image storage system effectively stores image data captured by an image capture device in a plurality of image storage devices. Each of the image storage devices includes a storage unit for storing image data. An image storage device performing as a master among the image storage devices includes an image reception unit for receiving the image data captured by the image capture device. A storage unit provided in each of the image storage devices distributes the image data received by the image reception unit provided in the image storage device performing as the master to the respective image storage devices so as to be stored there.

    摘要: A circulating memory apparatus and a data storage and distribution system using a circulating recording area effectively and having an improved access efficiency to the circulating recording area are disclosed. A memory area secured in a disk unit is used in circulation thereby to record the time series input data. The time series input data are edited into a data block of a predetermined size including a plurality of subblocks, and written into the disk unit by data block. In response to a request for outputting specific data, the data are read by subblock from the disk unit into a cache memory thereby to selectively output the specific data contained in the subblocks.

The A-NDR ranks each item of the video data with importance, and the control device controls the video data so as to read it in descending order of ranking.

    摘要: A recording apparatus employs a circulating recording scheme for overwriting the oldest recorded data in a recording area having a limited storage capacity with the latest recorded data. The recording apparatus includes a memory device and a data recovery unit. The memory device includes a data recording area for recording data, an index information area for recording index information related to the data recorded in the data recording area, and a reserve index information area provided in part of the data recording area for recording substantially the same index information as the index information. When an error is found in index information recorded in the index information area, the data recovery unit recovers the index information in the index information area based on the index information in the reserve index information area.

    摘要: In an image recording/reproduction method for recording image information on a recording medium by using a computer, a verify mode is set into the OFF state when recording image information on said recording medium. In addition, use as a write or read region a specified region of the recording medium which is greater than or equal to a unitary data size being handled during error correction processing to be performed when writing or reading image information on or out of said recording medium. Additionally, upon reading of image information from the recording medium, any image information that has experienced read errors will never be read again.

A single circulating recording area of the circulating recording apparatus can include memory areas distributed among a plurality of recording media. The circulating recording apparatus includes a circulating recording area management table composed of a plurality of table entries corresponding to the number of memory blocks constituting the circulating recording area and each entry includes pointer information for accessing the memory blocks and contents information of the data stored in the memory blocks.
