摘要： A cutting apparatus moves a cutting blade and in object to be cut relative to each other based on cutting data, thereby cutting a desirable pattern out of the object. The cutting apparatus includes an extraction unit which extracts from the cutting data a position of a cutting start point and a position of a cutting end point of a cutting line on the object, and a setting unit which changes the positions of the cutting start and end points to a position on the cutting line other than a specified position on the cutting line when the positions of the cutting start and end points extracted by the extraction unit are on the specified position in a case where a closed pattern having the cutting start and endpoints corresponding with each other is cut out of the object.

摘要： An engraving needle holder is disclosed which mounts an engraving needle to a needle bar when an engraving process is executed for a workpiece by moving the engraving needle upward and downward by making use of drive of the needle bar provided on a sewing machine. The engraving needle holder includes a mounted part which is mountable to a fixing part of a lower end of the needle bar into which a handle of the needle is inserted to be fixed, with the needle being removed, a supporting member located at a lower end side of the mounting part so that a base of the engraving needle is mounted to it so as to be positionally adjustable, and an adjusting mechanism which adjusts a mounting height position of the engraving needle relative to the supporting member.

The second engagement portion restricts horizontal rotation of the boring device, and a horizontal position of the boring knife with respect to the one of the needle bars is determined when the first engagement portion is engaged with the second engagement portion.

The conveying mechanism is configured to convey a sheet-like object in a first direction and includes one roller shaft and a driving roller. The roller shaft includes two rollers located at different positions. The conveying mechanism is configured to convey the object held between the rollers and the driving roller. The cutting head is slidably supported by the guide shaft and configured to be mounted with a cutter. The slidable contact is located in the cutting head and contacts the roller shaft between the rollers of the roller shaft so as to be slidable, maintaining a position of the cutting head. The slidable contact has a U-shaped cross section, and the roller shaft is disposed at an open side of the U-shape.

The storing stores each of count values associated with each of the plurality of partial areas in a storage portion, each of the count values is counted by the counting for each of the plurality of partial areas. The notifying notifies, based on the count values stored in the storage portion, information relating to the number of cuts for each of the plurality of partial areas.

摘要： A thread cutter for a sewing machine includes a first thread seizing assembly reciprocally movable and seizing a needle thread having passed a bobbin case and a bobbin thread by a first thread seizing portion, a cutting blade located nearer to the needle hole side than a movement locus of the first assembly, and a second thread seizing assembly seizing both threads having been seized by the first assembly during backward movement of reciprocation of the first assembly, cutting both threads in cooperation with the cutting blade. When moved backward in the reciprocation, the first assembly is swung so that the first thread seizing portion comes close to the second thread seizing assembly. The second assembly has a distal end on which a second thread seizing portion is located. The second thread seizing portion is two-forked so that the cutting blade is interposed between the two-forked portions.
