    摘要: A guide marker includes a substrate and a radio-wave reflecting unit for reflecting radio waves at certain intensity in all directions in a virtual plane, including the incident direction of the radio waves, the radio-wave reflecting unit being provided in the surface of the substrate. The radio-wave reflecting unit includes a concave and convex portions provided in the substrate or radio-wave reflectors which resonate at the frequency of incident radio waves and which reflect the radio waves in the incident direction. The radio-wave reflectors are mounted on the substrate. A visual guide marker device includes one of a light-reflecting component having a reflection characteristic and a light-generating component which self-generates light, and a guide marker including a dielectric material.

    摘要: An antenna device capable of increasing the speed of scanning as well as extending the scanning angular range of a beam to obtain a high gain. A radar module and a communication apparatus having enhanced detection capabilities obtainable by using the antenna device. In the antenna device, electromagnetic waves radiated from a primary radiator are transmitted to a plurality of openings, e.g., dielectric lenses and/or reflectors or optical transmitters. The dielectric openings are arranged on a fixed portion and the primary radiator is arranged on a moving portion. The moving portion is displaced relatively with respect to the fixed portion. This arrangement enables the selection of an opening used for receiving each of the electromagnetic waves from the primary radiator to change the direction of the beam.

    摘要: A device with a nonradiative dielectric waveguide which operates in a microwave band or in a millimeter wave band. The device with a nonradiative dielectric waveguide is, for example, an oscillator, a circulator, a coupler or the like. The device has a pair of parallel conductors, a dielectric strip which is disposed between the conductors and propagates a high-frequency electromagnetic wave in a specified mode, a mounting surface which is formed on one of the conductors, and an end surface which is defined by an end of each of the conductors so as to be vertical to a traveling direction of the electromagnetic wave propagated in the dielectric strip. An end of the dielectric strip is exposed at a corresponding end surface of the device.

    摘要: A balanced-type mixer having easier mounting of a circuit board into a dielectric line apparatus, easier matching between a dielectric line and diodes, and reduced conversion loss. A first conductor pattern is disposed in a direction substantially perpendicular to first dielectric strips which constitute a first NRD guide, first and second filter circuits are provided at positions on opposite sides of the first dielectric strips, thus forming a first resonance circuit, and beam lead diodes are mounted in series within the resonance circuit. Further, a second conductor pattern is extended substantially from the midpoint between the filter circuits, and a third filter circuit is provided, thus forming a second resonance circuit. A second NRD guide based on second dielectric strips is connected to the second resonance circuit.

    摘要: A high-frequency integrated circuit which operates in a microwave band or in a millimeter wave band. The high-frequency integrated circuit has devices with a nonradiative dielectric waveguide such as an oscillator, a circulator, etc., and a mount case with a nonradiative dielectric waveguide in which these devices are mounted. Each of the devices with a nonradiative dielectric waveguide has a couple of conductors, a dielectric strip which is disposed between the conductors and propagates a high-frequency electromagnetic wave in a specified mode, a mounting surface which is formed on one of the conductors, and an end surface which is formed on an end of the conductors so as to be vertical to a traveling direction of the electromagnetic wave propagated in the dielectric strip and on which an end of the dielectric strip is exposed. The devices with a nonradiative dielectric waveguide are evaluated separately, and thereafter, the devices are mounted in the mount case individually.

    摘要: An oscillation circuit is constructed by providing a line and a Gunn diode on a dielectric substrate, and an oscillation signal as the fundamental frequency signal of an oscillator is injected into the Gunn diode through a DC bias line. By disposing a dielectric stripline between upper and lower conductor plates, at NRD guide as an output transmission line is constructed, and the line and the NRD guide are coupled. The cutoff frequency of the NRD guide is determined so that the fundamental wave component of oscillation signal of the oscillation circuit is cut off and a harmonic is propagated.

    摘要: An improved antenna device is provided which is easy to be made compact in size and easy to deflect a beam at a high speed. Further, a transmitting/receiving apparatus using the improved antenna device is provided which is capable of performing a detection within a large range. In particular, a primary radiator and a first transmission line combined with the primary radiator are provided on a movable section, a second transmission line electromagnetically combined with the first transmission line and a dielectric lens with a position of said primary radiator serving as a generally focal point surface are provided on a fixed section. Further, a structure is provided capable of deflecting the beam by displacing the movable section. Also, means is provided to detect the position of the movable section and a control means is provided for displacing the movable section in accordance with a position designating signal of the movable section.

    摘要: A dielectric line switch is provided which is capable of easily controlling the propagation of an electromagnetic wave. Also provided is an antenna device employing said dielectric line switch. As an embodiment of the invention, a plurality of dielectric lines and a plurality of primary radiators are provided on a rotary unit. With the rotation of the rotary unit, the dielectric lines are switched ON and OFF by virtue of mechanical means, so that a desired change-over may be effected among the plurality of primary radiators in a time sharing manner, and the positions of the primary radiators may be shifted within a plane of the focal point of a dielectric lens, thereby enabling the transmission wave beam and/or reception wave beam to scan in a desired manner.
