    摘要: A process for producing a liquid crystal device, including the steps of: providing a pair of electrode plates; disposing a sealing agent on at least one of the electrode plates so as to define a region to be filled with a liquid crystal; dispersing adhesive beads over at least one of the electrode plates; adhesively bonding the electrode plates to each other by curing the sealing agent and the adhesive beads under heating and pressure of the electrode plates. In the adhesively bonding step, the pair of electrode plates are provided with at least one heating member capable of setting a prescribed heating temperature for every prescribed region so as to cure the sealing agent and the adhesive beads. The above heating member is effective in improving an adhesive strength of the adhesive beads resulting in a good shock resistance of the resultant liquid crystal device and shortening a curing treatment time of the sealing agent.

    摘要: A liquid crystal device is constituted by a pair of oppositely spaced substrate each having on its opposite surface a group of stripe electrodes disposed to intersect with those disposed on the other substrate, and a liquid crystal disposed between the substrates so as to be driven by a voltage applied through the stripe electrodes. The group of stripe electrodes on at least one of the pair of substrates are formed through a lithographic step including dividing the stripe electrodes into at least two divisions at a line parallel (or perpendicular) to the extension of the stripe electrodes, and repeating a pattern exposure for each division of the stripe electrodes so as to dispose a joint between the divisions of the stripe electrodes at a non-display part including a spacing between two stripe electrode on the same substrate (or at a part in alignment with a non-display part including a spacing between two stripe electrodes on the opposite substrate). In an embodiment, the liquid crystal device is provided with a dummy electrode pattern for promoting the liquid crystal injection.

    摘要: An electrode plate structure for a liquid crystal color display is produced by forming a color filter layer of a photosensitive polyamide resin containing a colorant dispersed therein; disposing a protective layer of a photosensitive polyamide resin on the color filter layer; forming an ITO (indium-tin-oxide) film on the protective layer, preferably at an elevated temperature of at most 270.degree. C.; post-annealing the ITO film at a temperature of 200.degree.-300.degree. C. for improving the crystallinity of the ITO film suitable for etching; and selectively etching the ITO film patternwise with an etchant of hydroiodic acid or a hydroiodic acid-ferric chloride aqueous solution mixture to leave an ITO electrode pattern.

    摘要: A process for producing an electrode substrate for use in a liquid crystal device in which a laminate film of a transparent conductive film and a metal film is formed on a first side of a transparent substrate. The laminate film is pattern-etched so as to form islands of the laminate film in a predetermined pattern. A photosensitive anaerobic colored resin is applied on the transparent substrate on which the islands of laminate film arranged in the predetermined pattern. The transparent substrate is uniformly exposed to a light from a second side of the substrate opposite to the first side in an oxygen-containing atmosphere. Unexposed portions of the photosensitive anaerobic resin are removed so as to leave the photosensitive anaerobic resin only in the spaces between adjacent islands of the laminate film, for forming a light-shielding film in each of the spaces. The metal film of each laminate film island is etched so as to remove unnecessary portions of the metal film, thereby forming metal electrodes wired along edges of the transparent conductive film.
