    Where R1 is a —(CH2)n—O—R1a group or a —(CH2)j—O—C(O)Ok—R2a group;
    R2 is H, a —(CH2)n—O—R1a group or a —(CH2)j—O—C(O)Ok— R2a group;
    R1a is independently a C6-C30alkyl group, often a C12-C22 alkyl group, often a C14-C20 alkyl group or a C16-C18 alkyl group, often a C16 or C18 alkyl group;
    R2a is independently a C1-C12 alkyl group, often a C2-C6 alkyl group, a C3-C4 alkyl group, an isopropyl, t-butyl or sec-butyl group, or an isopropyl or t-butyl group;
    Each j is independently 1-6, 1-3, often 1 or 2;
    Each k is 0 or 1;

    摘要: Various examples are provided related to single channel and multi-channel radio frequency (RF) steganography. In one example, a method includes generating an amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) broadband signal; spectrally slicing the ASE broad-band light to achieve taps for generating a dynamic photonic finite impulse response in an RF domain; generating a stealth-modulated broadband optical carrier by combining a stealth signal with the spectrally sliced ASE broadband light; passing the stealth-modulated broadband optical carrier to a dispersive medium to achieve the dynamic photonic FIR in the RF domain; and transmitting the stealth-modulated optical comb carrier via a transmission fiber. The ASE broadband light can have wavelength and intensity corresponding to background noise of a photonic system. In another example, a system for RF steganography includes a stealth transmitter. The stealth transmitter can generate and transmit the stealth-modulated optical comb carrier to a stealth receiver via a transmission fiber.

    摘要: In one embodiment, an assessment system includes an electrical stimulation device configured to generate current, stimulation electrodes configured to apply the current generated by the electrical stimulation device to a neck of a subject at a location that results in stimulation of a phrenic nerve of the subject, a movement sensor configured to sense movement of an upper abdomen of the subject caused by twitching of a diaphragm of the subject responsive to the stimulation of the phrenic nerve, and a controller configured to receive data sensed by the movement sensor, analyze the received data to evaluate the activity of the diaphragm, and generate an assessment of the subject's respiratory function or phrenic nerve.
