摘要: Methods and systems for gesture-based control of a device are described. A virtual gesture-space is determined in a received input frame. The virtual gesture-space is associated with a primary user from a ranked user list of users. The received input frame is processed in only the virtual gesture-space, to detect and track a hand. Using a hand bounding box generated by detecting and tracking the hand, gesture classification is performed to determine a gesture input associated with the hand. A command input associated with the determined gesture input is processed. The device may be a smart television, a smart phone, a tablet, etc.

摘要: Methods, devices, and media are disclosed for mapping of input and output spaces in head-based human-computer interactions. In some embodiments, an end-to-end method is described for designing a head-based user interface, calibrating the interface to individual users, and interacting with a user in real time by mapping head-based user inputs to an output space in a way that optimizes the target selection efficiency of the interaction. Head orientation may be leveraged to define the mapping between the user input and the output space.

摘要: An anchor head mounted to or incorporated into the shaft of conventional tie down stakes and earth anchors. The anchor head eliminates the need to manually drive the earth anchor into the ground and allows the anchor to be placed and removed using conventional powered drill/drivers and hex sockets or wrenches. The anchor head has a hexagonal top section and a hexagonal bottom sectional separated by an integral, central annular shoulder. The top and bottom sections are each configured to have six equilateral side walls and dimensioned to receive two different sizes of wrench or hex socket. The bottom section of the anchor head has a threaded axial bore for receiving the threaded end of the anchor shaft. The bottom section also has a lateral “swage” bore through which a punch is inserted to swage or deform the threads of the shaft to permanently secure the anchor head to the shaft.

A first-user-in-time ruleset prioritizes gestures based on when in time they were begun by a user in the camera FOV. An action-hierarchy ruleset prioritizes gestures based on the actions they correspond to, and the relative positions of those actions within an action hierarchy. A designated-master-user ruleset prioritizes gestures performed by an explicitly designated master user. Methods for designating a new master user and for providing gesture-control-related user feedback in a multi-user environment are also described.

摘要: A tie down anchor assembly that is adapted to receive the stakes through angled bores as they are driven into the ground where at least one stake can be driven into the ground at different angular orientations. The anchor assembly of this invention includes a plurality of stakes and a modular anchor hub. The anchor hub has an interconnected modular design and includes a main hub component, a shaft component, and a tether connector, which can be disassembled for convenient storage and transport. The main hub component has a pair of protrusions and the shaft component is rotatably connected to the main hub component so that the protrusion and the shaft component act as three “anchor legs” extending radially from the body of the main hub component 130—two fixed and one rotatable. Each of the “anchor legs has an angled stake bore for receiving one of the stakes.

摘要: A method of identifying discontinuities in the surface of a substrate is herein disclosed. An object plane of an imaging system is positioned at a focal position associated with a discontinuity and an image is captured, the discontinuity having a relatively higher contrast with respect to the remainder of the surface of the substrate. The discontinuity is thereby more readily discernable than when the focal plane is positioned at the surface of the substrate. Analysis of discontinuities may include the extraction of discontinuity characteristics.
