摘要： The present invention is directed to a transconnector for joining adjacent longitudinal spinal rods. The transconnector preferably includes a bridge member and a pair of bone fixation coupling elements, the bridge member is preferably sized and configured to span a distance between the pair of bone fixation coupling elements. The bone fixation coupling elements are preferably sized and configured to engage the bridge member and sized and configured to receive one of the bone fixation elements. The bone fixation coupling elements are preferably sized and configured to engage the body portion of the bone fixation element. The bone fixation coupling elements may include a locking cap having a first set of threads for threadably engaging the bone fixation element.

摘要： A polyaxial bone anchor includes an anchor head, an anchor member, a bushing, a sleeve and a fastener. The anchor head has a longitudinal bore and an inner spherical surface on a lower portion. The bushing is received within the longitudinal bore adjacent the lower portion and includes an exterior spherical surface for interacting with the inner spherical surface in the anchor head, an internal space defining an inner spherical surface for mating with a spherical head portion of the anchor member and a slot. The inner spherical surface of the bushing has a spherical centerpoint and the exterior spherical surface of the bushing has a spherical centerpoint. The spherical centerpoint of the inner spherical surface is vertically displaced toward the bottom end relative to the spherical centerpoint of the exterior spherical surface. The sleeve is received within the longitudinal bore. The fastener is mountable to the anchor head.

摘要： A posterior vertebral plating system comprising a plate and a plurality of attachment members. The plate has a plurality of holes extending through the plate from an upper surface to a lower surface, and the plate is configured to extend along the posterior side of at least two vertebrae adjacent at least one boney structure of each of the vertebrae. The holes are spaced in such a way that a first plurality of holes is positionable over a boney structure of a first vertebra to define a plurality of fixation points to the first vertebra and a second plurality of holes is positionable over boney structure of a second vertebra to define a plurality of fixation points to the second vertebra. The attachment members are insertable through the holes of the plate and into the boney structure of a corresponding vertebra to fix the plate to the vertebra.

摘要： An implant for insertion into a disc space between vertebrae, wherein the implant includes a spacer portion, a plate portion coupled to the spacer portion, two bone fixation elements for engaging the vertebrae and a retention mechanism for preventing the bone fixation elements from postoperatively backing-out of the plate portion. The retention mechanism may be in the form of a spring biased snapper element that is biased into communication with the bone fixation elements so that once the bone fixation element advances past the snapper element, the snapper element is biased back to its initial position in which the snapper element interfaces with the bone fixation elements. Alternatively, the retention mechanism may be in the form of a propeller rotatable between a first position in which the bone fixation elements are insertable to a second position where the bone fixation elements are prevented from backing-out.
