    摘要： A polymeric film bag having first and second panels that are joined to each other along a pair of opposing sides and a bottom bridging the opposing sides. Each of the first and second panels have an original width. Extending inwardly from near or at one of the pair of opposing sides is a first narrowing seal. The first narrowing seal seals the first and second panels together such that a second width of the first and second panels is created that is smaller than the original widths of the first and second panels.

    摘要： A method of forming a plurality of easy to open handle bags including the steps of providing a flattened tube of thermoplastic material oriented in a generally longitudinal direction. The flattened tube has a first longitudinal side edge and a second longitudinal side edge, a transverse lower heat seal, and a transverse upper heat seal. The tube also has first, second, and third sections. The second section being disposed between the first and third sections. The first section is joined to the second section along a generally longitudinal first fold line. The second section is joined to the third section along a generally longitudinal second fold line. The second section is cut along a generally transverse first cut line extending between the first and second fold lines. The first section is folded over the second section along the first fold line. The third section is folded over the previously folded-over first section along the second fold line such that the first, second, and third sections overlap one another. The overlapped first, second, and third sections are cut along a generally longitudinal second cut line that intersects the first cut line, the first fold line, and the second side edge at one end and intersects the upper heat seal at the other end. The overlapped first, second, and third sections are then cut along a generally longitudinal third cut line that intersects the first cut line, the second fold line, and the first side edge at one end and intersects the upper heat seal at the other end.

    摘要： A method of forming a plurality of easy to open handle bags is provided. The method includes providing a flattened tube of thermoplastic material oriented in a generally longitudinal direction. The flattened tube has a first longitudinal side edge, a second longitudinal side edge, and a transverse heat seal. The tube has first, second, and third sections. The second section is disposed between the first and third sections. The first section is joined to the second section along a generally longitudinal first fold line. The second section is joined to the third section along a generally longitudinal second fold line. A generally rectangular hole is cut through the second section. The generally rectangular hole has a top edge and a bottom edge. The generally rectangular hole is contained transversely between the first and second fold lines. The tube is then Z-folded such that the second section is folded over the third section along the second fold line and the first section is folded over the folded second and third sections along the first fold line. As a result, the first, second, and third sections overlap one another. A line of weakness is formed adjacent the heat seal. The overlapped first, second, and third sections are cut along a first cut line that intersects the line of weakness, extends therefrom past the bottom edge of the generally rectangular hole, and intersects the first fold line. The overlapped first, second, and third sections are also cut along a second cut line that intersects the line of weakness, extends therefrom past the bottom edge of the generally rectangular hole, and intersects the second fold line.

    摘要： There is provided a thermoplastic film bag having at least two integral members that facilitate opening the bag. The bag is manufactured from a flattened tube of thermoplastic material which may be distinctively severed along independent phase shifted sinusoidal oscillating paths down the center of the collapsed tube. The bag may have two opposed tie members which are offset from the vertical center axis of the bag and from each other. The tie members may be grasped and pulled apart to facilitate the easy opening of the bag. The tie members may then be tied together to form a strong member by which the bag may be picked up and carried. In alternate embodiments the shape of the integral tie members can be modified to create a bag having only the easy open feature with no tie members. A method for making the bag is also described. In an alternative embodiment the bag may include linear slitting regions positioned at each bag side edge. These regions facilitate the accurate registration of bag side edge heat seals and weakened areas therebetween. The linear slitting regions are characterized by zones of continuously overlapping bag material.
