    摘要： A head for an electric toothbrush includes a support member having a plurality of holes extending completely therethrough. A plurality of tufts of bristles each extends through one of the holes. A first brushing end of each tuft projects from a first side of the support member. Each tuft is prevented from being withdrawn from its hole when a tensile force is applied to the first end of each tuft along a long axis of the tuft. A resilient cushion is positioned adjacent a second side of the support member such that a second end of each tuft can contact the cushion. When a compressive force is applied to the first end of each tuft along the long axis of each tuft, each tuft can move in its hole in a first direction into the cushion. When the compressive force is removed the cushion causes each tuft to move in its hole in a second direction substantially opposite the first direction.

    摘要： A method of processing a semiconductor substrate in forming scribe line alignment marks includes forming pitch multiplied non-circuitry features within scribe line area of a semiconductor substrate. Individual of the features, in cross-section, have a maximum width which is less than a minimum photolithographic feature dimension used in lithographically patterning the substrate. Photoresist is deposited over the features. Such is patterned to form photoresist blocks that are individually received between a respective pair of the features in the cross-section. Individual of the features of the respective pairs have a laterally innermost sidewall in the cross-section. Individual of the photoresist blocks have an opposing pair of first pattern edges in the cross-section that are spaced laterally inward of the laterally innermost sidewalls of the respective pair of the features. Individual of the photoresist blocks have an opposing pair of second pattern edges in the cross-section that self-align laterally outward of the first pattern edges to the laterally innermost sidewalls of the features during the patterning.

    摘要： Novel polyurethane-urea foams having superior tear and tensile strengths, elongation and load-bearing are prepared by reacting an alkylthio-substituted aromatic diamine in a mixture of polyols with an aromatic diisocyanate or aromatic diisocyanate prepolymer or mixtures thereof, having free NCO content of 0.1-50% by weight. These foams have good dynamic properties that make them attractive as cushioning materials.

    摘要： A score or perforator bar device is adapted for use with certain printing presses having a blanket cylinder revolving upon an axle shaft and with an elongate slot for attachment of the blanket. The adapter device includes a bar of a length substantially the same as the cylinder with a working side having a longitudinal slot for mounting a knife blade. The knife blade has either a scoring edge or a perforation edge, depending upon the desired effect. The bar has an attachment side for connection to the blanket cylinder and has legs extending generally perpendicularly. The legs have recessed ends for bearing against the cylinder shaft so that the force of the blade is transferred to the axle shaft and not to the cylinder shell. A screw arrangement retains the bar in a cylinder slot.

    摘要： A vibratory feeder has an elongated base assembly that is supported on a foundation by longitudinally spaced vibration isolators. Projecting upwardly from the base assembly at longitudinally spaced locations are a plurality of leaf springs with upper portions that support a trough assembly. The base and trough assemblies have masses, with the centers of these masses being spaced apart along an upwardly extending axis. The trough assembly is driven transversely of the upwardly extending axis by a driver. The assembly masses create inertia forces acting at the mass centers, and these forces form a force couple urging a rotational motion on the feeder as a whole. The leaf springs are arranged to deflect along non-parallel paths to guide the trough assembly in both curvilinear translation and rotation with respect to the base. This rotation opposes the rotational urge created by the inertia force couple to thereby eliminate rotational motion of the trough with respect to the foundation, so that the trough moves only in curvilinear translation with respect to the foundation.

    摘要： Two eccentric weights of a vibrator are mounted, respectively, on two coaxial shafts, one of which is a hollow shaft mounted on the other shaft. The two shafts can be connected for rotation in unison, and can be separated for relative rotation to alter the angular relationship between the weights. The mechanism is provided to alter the angular relationship between the weights while both shafts continue to rotate. An electric clutch is connected between the driven shaft and the hollow shaft to connect the two coaxial shafts for rotation in unison, and a brake is provided to slow the rotation of the hollow shaft after the clutch is disengaged. Thus, the angular relationship between the eccentric weights, and hence the stroke of the vibrator, can be changed.

    摘要： An eggbox, which is a one-piece moulding of plastics sheet material, comprises a base part having egg-receiving pockets and a cover part having corresponding pockets hinged together along mutually adjacent rims so that the cover part can be folded over the base part to close the latter. In the closed position, the parts are fastened together at their rims opposite the hinge by cooperating studs and slots formed respectively on the two parts. The slots are of key-hole shape and, when the cover part is closed, the studs initially engage in the wider portions of the slots and are urged into engagement with the narrower portions by the inherent resiliency of the parts in order to fasten the parts together. A second set of cooperating studs and slots, which interengage in the manner of press-stud fasteners, are formed centrally of the base and cover parts in order to assist in fastening the parts together.
