Abstract:
This invention relates to a method for cutting materials using a laser beam, which emerges from a cutting head comprising a cutting nozzle with an inner edge, and is absorbed by the cutting front. The axis of the laser beam is displaced in relation to a workpiece along a cutting line with a fixed orientation in the cutting direction of said workpiece. In this method the position (p) of the cutting head is modulated with regard to its time averaged value, or the laser power and gas pressure in the cutting head are modulated.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a PVC-free tube (100) for medical purposes comprising three layers (101, 102, 103) arranged one above another, wherein each of these layers contains a polyolefin, and wherein the inner layer (102) also contains at least 60% of a thermoplastic elastomer. The present invention further relates to a tube system comprising several tubes according to the invention, which are connected via connectors. The tube according to the invention makes it possible for the conveyance rate loss, for example in an extracorporeal blood circulation, to be less than 15%, preferably less than 10%.

The static mixer also includes an inlet (2), an outlet (3), at least one mixing element (5) arranged in the mixing section (4) and having its outer dimensions adapted to inner dimensions of the jacket (1), and at least one chamber (6) arranged between the inlet (2) and the outlet (3) for receiving additives (7) which are added to a mixture produced in the static mixer.
Abstract:
Known canister-purge valves have a valve seat and a valve body movably disposed on the valve seat with a sealing element and a damping element. The sealing element is located on a side of the valve body facing the valve seat, and the damping element is located on a side of the valve body facing away from the valve seat. The sealing element and the damping element are a single component and are composed of a single elastomer. In selecting the elastomer, a compromise must be struck between good sealing properties for the sealing element and good damping properties for the damping element. With the canister-purge valve according to the present invention, the function of the canister-purge valve is improved by providing the sealing element with very good sealing properties and providing the damping element with very good damping properties. According to the present invention, the sealing element (40) is made of a first elastomer and the damping element (41) is made of a second elastomer.
Abstract:
In a method and an arrangement for checking the tightness of a vessel (10), especially of a tank-venting system of a motor vehicle, the vessel (10) is charged with a pressure generated by a motor-driven pressure source (30) and the motor current is determined. A reference leak (36) is selectively driven by a switchover valve (32) and is charged with a corresponding pressure and the motor current is determined. The determined electrical characteristic quantity and the determined reference characteristic quantity are compared and a conclusion is drawn therefrom as to the presence of a leak. To prevent the entry of moisture into the pressure source (30), it is provided that at least the pressure source (30) is heated intermittently. The heating takes place preferably by driving the switchover valve (32) at a suitable pulse duty factor. To prevent the entrance of moisture into the pressure source (30), a check valve (44) is provided and is suitably mounted in the connecting part of the pressure source (30).
Abstract:
A control element for a nuclear reactor includes an absorber or absorber material and at least three absorber enclosures for receiving the absorber. The absorber enclosure is constructed in such a way that the received absorber can be subjected to local relative burn up of more than 90% without the burnt-off absorber material getting into the reactor coolant. The control element is constructed in such a way that there are at least three absorber enclosures and a predetermined spacing between the enclosures, so that each absorber enclosure forms a mechanical resistance for the absorber and is removable from the starting position in the event of expansion of the absorber.
Abstract:
A method for materials processing by means of plasma-inducing high-energy radiation, especially laser radiation, in which the instantaneous intensity of the plasma radiation is measured at plural locations of a vapor capillary. So that the method can also be performed with perfect welding results on workpieces of very small thickness, shapes of two spaced-apart peak intensity regions, or of another type of electromagnetic radiation emitted from the vapor capillary, and of a minimum region that can be formed between these two regions of extreme values are detected metrologically, the so detected shapes of the regions of extreme values are compared with predetermined region shapes, and control of the materials processing operation takes place as a function of deviations of the detected shapes from the predetermined region shapes.
Abstract:
A cassette for delivering fluids, especially dialysis fluids, with connecting elements for connecting solution bags and lines leading to the patient for to the dialysis machine, with at least one delivery chamber with an inlet and outlet, with lines for carrying the fluids supplied and delivered, with the walls of the lines being designed at least in some sections so that the lines can be closed by applying a compressive force acting on the walls. Heating and delivery of fluids, in particular dialysis fluids, can be performed effectively and simply by providing at least one area in the cassette where the lines are arranged in such a way that the medium in the lines can be heated to a predetermined set point by means of a heating device arranged outside the cassette. A dialysis machine, in particular for carrying out peritoneal dialysis, hemofiltration and plasma filtration, with a recess or device to accommodate a cassette according to the present invention and with a pump unit for operating the delivery chambers of the cassette. A heating device is provided in the dialysis machine, arranged in the area of the recesses or devices to accommodate the cassette. A method of delivering, balancing, metering and heating a medical fluid, where a fluid conveyed through the lines or at least one delivery chamber is also exposed to heating energy at the same time.
Abstract:
A magnet valve for tank venting in motor vehicles, having at least one valve opening forming a sealing seat and having a spring-loaded valve member cooperating with the at least one sealing seat for opening and closing the valve and actuated by an electromagnet counter to the restoring force of a restoring spring. Downstream of the valve member, a flow element that throttles the flow of a gas is disposed, the shape of the flow element is adapted to the opening cross section of the sealing seat that cooperates with the valve member, for determining (metering) the flow quantity of the gas through the cross section of the flow element when the magnet valve is open. The shape of the flow element is determined (metered) in such a way that the area of the opening cross section of the effective valve seat is greater than 2.5 and preferably greater than 9 times the area of the effective cross section of the flow element.
Abstract:
An internal combustion engine that has an intake device with a turbocharger compressor device with a valve in a bypass line that bypasses the compressor device. To assure a simple, economical installation of the valve in a way secured against relative rotation, the valve is secured to a tubular receiving element, by means of a bayonet mount, formed by the valve and receiving element. The valve is intended for internal combustion engines that are equipped with a turbocharger compressor device.
