摘要: A touch sensing apparatus includes a light source generating a light. The light travels though a light distribution part. A light guide part guides the light to the light distribution part. A light sensing part outputs an output signal corresponding to an intensity of the light incident through the light guide part and the light distribution part when a touch occurs. A light reflection part reflects the light provided to the light distribution part, and a coordinate generating part calculates a coordinate value of the touch using the output signal from the light sensing part.

摘要: Provided is a touch screen. The touch screen includes a touch panel including a first substrate and a second substrate that face each other. The first resistor line part is bent several times, has a first end receiving a first voltage, and has a second end receiving a second voltage having a potential lower than the first voltage. Also, the touch screen includes a touch detection unit that determine whether a touch event occurs, a single/multi touch determination unit that determines whether the touch event is single touch or multi-touch, and a coordinate information calculating unit that calculates coordinate information of a touched point. Therefore, the touch screen may calculate coordinate information of multi-touched points.

摘要: Provided are a method of providing autonomic management of a software system, a recording medium storing a program for executing the method, and a system having a function of autonomic software management. When a request for a service is received from a user, all configurations of a system capable of providing the requested service are obtained from a dynamic feature model, a configuration corresponding to the requested service is obtained among all of the obtained configurations on the basis of a previously set policy to reconfigure resources of the system, and the requested service is provided on the basis of the reconfigured resources. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a service optimized for an environment that varies in real time without user intervention.

摘要: An apparatus for creating and managing personalized services includes: a pre-processing unit for converting vendor- and device-specific sensor data into a normalized form; an analysis unit for determining a current state of entities being managed based on the normalized sensor data to thereby determine whether current services and/or resources that have been allocated to a user are being satisfied or not; and a personalization unit for examining state-related context data to determine what action to take. The personalization of the services and/or resources provided to a user or set of users is managed by context-sensitive policy rules. In addition, a set of abstractions, in the form of preferences, profiles, and subscriptions, are collectively used to determine the set of services and/or resources, as a function of context, that a user or set of users are entitled to receive.

摘要: An object-sensing device is presented. The device includes a waveguide and a substrate holding a liquid crystal layer, wherein radiation propagates through the waveguide via total internal reflection. A radiation emitting element is positioned along a radiation input surface of the waveguide, and a radiation receiving element is positioned to receive radiation exiting the waveguide. The radiation receiving element may be positioned across the waveguide from the radiation emitting element. Alternatively, the radiation receiving element may be positioned on a surface that contacts the radiation input surface of the waveguide that is optically coupled to the radiation emitting element.
