摘要: Known methods and devices for overlap-welding of printing by means of ultrasonics have been developed further to enable problem-free use, particularly with wire printers also having thin wires, and to enable welding of multi-color ribbons. The invention also permits more durable components. In the method according to the invention, the printing ribbon to be joined is retained in a non-overlapping fashion on movable plates, preferably by means of a vacuum, and is severed by a cutter, preferably by means of an ultrasonic sonotrode and cutting anvil, and is then moved so that the ribbon ends are in overlapping position, and then welded, preferably with a structured part of a sonotrode on a wielding anvil which is likewise structured. A device according to the invention has two plates with ribbon-retaining means, a cutter, and a joiner, such as a welder, for joining the two ribbons ends. The plates are movable to at least two positions suitable respectively for the cutting and joining functions of the machine. A device for accomplishing the method may utilize standardized components which are usual in trade, is accordingly disturbance-free and may be produced economically and guarantees high production rates.

摘要: A method for the hot-stamping a plurality of parts for stamping comprises operatively engaging a surface of at least one printing plate and a surface of a part for stamping in a stamping plane. The method further comprises providing a material which is to be stamped on between the printing plate and the part for stamping in such a manner that, during the operative engagement, the material which is to be stamped on is stamped onto the part for stamping. A stamping force for the stamping acts in a stamping direction approximately perpendicular to the stamping plane. The method further comprises simultaneously moving the surface of the printing plate and surfaces of the parts for stamping relative to each other into and out again from the stamping plane on defined, uniform paths of movement, said paths of movement intersecting a stamping axis during the stamping operation.

摘要: The method for the zigzag-like folding of a strip-like foil includes the following steps in an advantageous embodiment: 1. prepleating, whereby a zigzag-like or wave-shaped folding is effected in which the folded edges are formed in cross-section as arcs with a radius of curvature greater than about 1 mm; 2. follow-up forming of each second folded edge in that a coining tool is used to influence the fold angle and to reduce the radius of curvature of the folded edge to a value smaller than 1 mm; 3. follow-up forming of the remaining folded edges in the same manner as during the second step. The follow-up forming steps are executed with tumble pressing devices which respectively include a rotatable toothed roll and a coining tool. The coining tool is drivable by means of an eccentric device and is connected via a pendulum axle with a vertically displaceable slider. The coining tool, in cooperation with a respective tooth of the roll, reduces the radius of curvature of a folded edge and can additionally influence the associated fold angle.

摘要: An apparatus for the series production of Moebius ribbons comprises a threading robot having its four degrees of freedom (X,Y,Z,R). A second robot, movable in one direction, with two degrees of freedom (Z',R') is mounted on the first robot. The two robots cooperate to transfer between them a ribbon of delicate material, the ribbon being extracted from the ribbon cartridge and imparted with the 180.degree. twist required for the manufacturing of the Moebius ribbon.
