    Abstract: An image storage portion 31 stores image data that is input. An outline detecting portion 32 detects an outline of tooth that is the object of color measurement in the image based on the image data. A specular reflection region detecting portion 33 detects the position of a specular reflection region in the tooth that is the object of color measurement based on the data of each pixel that constitutes the image. A rectangular region setting portion 34 sets an analysis region to become the object of analysis processing in the image based on the position of the specular reflection region that is detected by the specular reflection region detecting portion 33. In accordance with the present invention, it is possible to avoid setting an analysis region in a specular reflection region when setting an analysis region, that is the object of analysis processing of an image, in the image.

    Abstract: An image processing system includes a photographing apparatus and a processing apparatus. The photographing apparatus includes LEDs for emitting light with characteristics of spectroscopic distributions varied in a visible light area, an image pick-up device unit which picks-up a subject image that is illuminated by the LEDs and is formed by an image pick-up optical system and which outputs an image signal, and a control unit. The control unit sequentially lights-on the LEDs upon an instruction for photographing a subject spectroscopic image being input from an operating switch, picks-up the image, and thus controls the operation for capturing subject spectroscopic images. The processing apparatus includes a calculating device which performs a desired image calculation based on the image signal.

    Abstract: An image processing system includes a photographing apparatus (1) and a processing apparatus (2). The photographing apparatus (1) includes six LEDs (6a to 6f) for emitting light with characteristics of spectroscopic distributions varied in a visible light area, a monochrome-type CCD (8) which picks-up a subject image that is illuminated by the LEDs (6a to 6f) and is formed by an image pick-up optical system (7) and which outputs an image signal, and a CPU (18) which sequentially lights-on the LEDs (6a to 6f) upon an instruction for photographing a subject spectroscopic image being input from an operating switch (14), picks-up the image by the CCD (8), and thus controls the operation for capturing 6-primary-color subject spectroscopic images.
