    Abstract: Adjust a backlight of a display device according to image loading and edge statistics of an input image. When the input image is a dark scene and includes relatively more edges, a luminance of the backlight would be controlled according to the image loading of the input image and compensated the backlight for showing details of the input image clearly. When the input image is a dark scene with negligible edges, the luminance of the backlight would be controlled by image loading with no or few compensation for lowering the power consumption. When the input image is a bright scene, or when the input image includes no edge or only negligible edges, minimum compensation is applied to the backlight for lowering the power consumption.

    Abstract: A output queuing method for forwarding the packets sequentially in a switching network. Each port is related to a port output queue and a global output queue is shared by all port output queues. A FIFO (First In First Out) block is allocated into each port output queue and the global output queue. The FIFO block contains a number of FIFO nodes. Based on the type and destination ports of the received packet, the fields of the related FIFO node in the port output queue and the global output queue are set. The packets are sent out or skipped based on the related fields.

    Abstract: An eccentric threaded fastener includes a bolt; and a fastening mechanism. The bolt includes a head and a threaded shank, the head including a plurality of positioning protrusions formed on a bottom. The fastening mechanism includes two opposite nuts disposed symmetrically along the threaded shank, the nut including a threaded hole for fitting around and securing to the threaded shank, and a frictional surface spirally extending out of one end of the threaded hole, the frictional surface and the threaded hole being co-axial. One end of threads of the threaded hole come into contact with an inner edge of the frictional surface. The frictional surface of one nut come into contact with that of the other nut to form the fastening mechanism with a gap formed between the nuts. A positioning pin is inserted into the gap to lock the nuts.

    Abstract: An expansion screw based fastening device includes an expansion screw, an internally threaded member, and a sleeve.
