An encoder includes circuitry, and memory coupled to the circuitry. The circuitry, in operation, for each of a plurality of sub-bitstreams having mutually different frame rates, encodes identification information into a header of a bitstream including the plurality of sub-bitstreams, the identification information indicating a temporal ID that is an identifier of a temporal layer related to a temporal scalability and corresponds to the sub-bitstream, and encodes level information indicating a conformance level of the sub-bitstream.

A conductive film includes a layer 1 formed by a conductive material 1 that includes a polymer material 1 containing any of (1) an amine and an epoxy resin (where the epoxy resin and the amine are mixed in a ratio of 1.0 or more in terms of the ratio of the number of active hydrogen atoms in the amine with respect to the number of functional groups in the epoxy resin), (2) a phenoxy resin and an epoxy resin, (3) a saturated hydrocarbon polymer having a hydroxyl group, and (4) a curable resin and an elastomer and conductive particles 1. The conductive film has excellent stability in an equilibrium potential environment in a negative electrode and low electric resistance per unit area in the thickness direction. A multilayer conductive film including the conductive film achieves excellent interlayer adhesion, and using them as a current collector enables the production of a battery satisfying both weight reduction and durability.

A power-supply device for supplying electrical power to a radar device that transmits and receives a continuous wave and detects an object reflecting the continuous wave on the basis of a spectrum of a beat signal of the transmitted and reflected waves. The power-supply device includes a power supply section that generates electrical power in a predefined voltage range through a switching section being turned on and off in response to a switching signal, and a switching signal output section that, outputs the switching signal whose frequency is set within one of assignable bands. This leads to a radar system comprised of the radar device and the power-supply device, capable of securely preventing erroneous detection of a frequency peak of the switching signal as a frequency peak of the object.

By mixing, stirring and kneading, with water glass (11) as a binder, sand (7), a surfactant (9), and water (10), foamed sand (S) is generated. The foamed sand (S) is packed in a cavity of a metallic mold and solidified to form a sand mold. By using the sand mold, aluminum is cast. By using water glass that is an inorganic binder, during casting, harmful gas and odor are not generated. Further, when a molar ratio n of water glass (Na2O nSiO2 mH2O) is adjusted in the range of 0.65 to 1.30, a quantity of water (H2O) generated by heating water glass with a high temperature melt during casting can be suppressed. Thereby, hydrogen gas (H2) according to a reaction between water (H2O) and aluminum (Al) can be suppressed from being generated and casting quality can be improved.

There are provided a dry aggregate mixture wherein the binder, even when heated, does not evolve unpleasant odor or gas hazardous to human health; a method of foundry molding wherein a space for foundry molding, up to minute portion thereof, can satisfactorily be filled with an aggregate mixture composed of a binder and granular aggregate; and a method of foundry molding wherein the mold used in molding of an aggregate mixture composed of a binder and granular aggregate can retain satisfactory properties even in high humidity. In the method of foundry molding, a mold is formed by the use of a dry mixture obtained by providing an aggregate mixture composed of granular aggregate, a water soluble binder and water and evaporating the water contained in the aggregate mixture through heating, pressure reduction or aeration while mixing so as to effect separation into single granules, or with the addition of a lubricant and a crosslinking agent thereto.

To provide a variable valve operating apparatus for an internal combustion engine which can reduce a range where heat treatment is required, thereby favorably suppressing distortion which occurs in a camshaft during heat treatment, to a low level. A changeover mechanism is provided which includes a slide pin which is adapted to move within a predetermined reciprocating range thereby switching between operational states of a variable mechanism, and a guide rail provided in an outer peripheral surface of the camshaft and guides the movement of the slide pin from one end to a remaining end of the reciprocating range. A projection part which is engageable with the guide rail is provided in the slide pin. Restriction means which performs at least one of a restriction of contact between a top surface of the projection part and a bottom surface of the guide rail opposing the projection part, and a restriction of movement of the slide pin beyond a distance from the above-described one end to the above-described remaining end.

This invention intends to provide a method for filling a foam mixture in a cavity of a metal mold, which method can produce a mold without defects.This method for filling a foam mixture in a cavity of a horizontally-split metal mold by pressurizing the mixture comprised of granular aggregate, water-soluble binders, and water, and injecting the mixture into the cavity of the metal mold comprises:a step for preparing the horizontally-split metal mold having a filling port communicating with the cavity, which port is disposed at a side and near abutting surfaces of the horizontally-split metal mold,a step for connecting a discharging port of a means for injecting the foam mixture to the filling port of the horizontally-split metal mold, wherein the means for injecting the foam mixture comprises a mixing bath to accommodate and mix the granular aggregate, the water-soluble binders, and the water, and a mechanism for pushing up the mixture in the mixing bath, wherein the mixing bath is cylindrical and has an opening at its upper end, a bottom plate at its lower end, and the discharging port at its side,a step for pushing up the foam mixture in the mixing bath by driving the mechanism for pushing up the mixture,a step for discharging the foam mixture from the discharging port, and for injecting the mixture into the filling port, anda step for filling the cavity with the foam mixture while the mixture pushes out air in the cavity.

A writing unit writes, in the use state specifying information recording unit, the use state specifying information which specifies that the task is executed when the task is executed by a task execution unit.
