    摘要: A vehicle drive apparatus includes a first electric motor, a power distributing mechanism, a second electric motor, and a step-variable power transmission. A power transmitting portion includes a second case, accommodating the second electric motor and the automatic power transmission. One end of an input shaft of the automatic power transmission faces a drive apparatus output shaft, which is supported with a first support wall mounted on the second case, the second electric motor being accommodated in a compartment opposite to the automatic power transmission with respect to the first support wall, and one end of a second rotor supporting shaft of the second electric motor faces the automatic power transmission, which is supported with a second support wall mounted on the second case. The automatic power transmission and second electric motor can be unitized as one power transmitting portion, improving assembling workability of the drive apparatus.

    摘要: A vehicular drive system which includes a first electric motor, a power distributing mechanism (first gear device), a second electric motor, and a step-variable automatic transmission (second gear device), and in which the first electric motor and the power distributing mechanism constitute a first unit, while the second electric motor and the automatic transmission constitute a second unit, and wherein the power distributing mechanism has an output shaft, and the automatic transmission has an input shaft which is connected to the output shaft, whereby a drive force can be transmitted between the first unit and the second unit. The individually prepared first unit and the second unit are assembled together into the vehicular drive system such that the output shaft of the power distributing mechanism and the input shaft of the automatic transmission are connected to each other. Accordingly, the drive system has an improved efficiency of assembling.

    摘要: A control apparatus for controlling a vehicle drive apparatus including: (i) a power transmitting member; (ii) a differential mechanism which has a first element connected to an engine, a second element connected to a first electric motor, and a third element connected to a second electric motor and the power transmitting member; (iii) an automatic transmission constituting at least a part of a power transmitting path between the power transmitting member and a drive wheel; and (iv) a differential-state switching device operable to selectively place the differential mechanism in its differential state in which the second and third elements are rotatable at respective different speeds, and in its non-differential state in which the second and third elements are not rotatable at respective different speeds. The control apparatus includes a switching device controller operable to cause the differential-state switching device to place the differential mechanism in the differential state, at least during generation of an electric energy by the first electric motor and/or second electric motor while the power transmitting path is being disconnected. Also disclosed is a vehicle drive system including the above-described control apparatus.

    摘要: A control apparatus for a vehicular drive system including a first transmission portion having a differential mechanism operable to distribute an engine output to a first electric motor and a power transmitting member, and a second electric motor disposed in a power transmitting path between the power transmitting member and a drive wheel; and a second transmission portion constituting a part of the power transmitting path. The control apparatus includes a switching device provided in the differential mechanism and operable to selectively place the first transmission portion in a continuously-variable shifting state and in a non-continuously-variable shifting state, rendering the first transmission portion respectively capable or not capable of operating as an electrically controlled continuously variable transmission; and a transmission controller operable to change a speed ratio of the second transmission portion, concurrently with switching of the first transmission portion between the continuously-variable shifting state and the non-continuously-variable shifting state.
