    摘要: A stacked electrical connector has an insulative housing (1), a plurality of signal contacts (23, 26) and a pair of contacts (24, 27, 25, 28) retained in the housing. The housing defines a mounting surface (19) for mounting on a printed circuit board and a receiving space (12) for receiving a mating plug (9). The switch contact includes a base portion retained in the housing and a spring arm extending from the base portion. An insulative separator (245) is formed on one spring arm and projects into the receiving space. The separator is moveable in a plane vertical to the mounting surface. When the mating plug inserts into the receiving space, the separator rotates and drives one switch contact to connect with the other switch contact.

The insulative housing includes a receiving space defined inwardly from a front surface of the insulative housing and an inner portion extending from a rear wall of the housing and bounded on its sides by the receiving space. The set of conductive first contacts includes first mating contacts and a first soldering contact, the first mating contacts assembled in the inner portion and partly exposed in the receiving space, the first soldering portion assembled into the housing and electrically contacting the first mating contacts. The set of conductive second contacts includes second mating contacts and a second soldering contact, the second mating contacts assembled in the insulative housing and partly exposed in the receiving space, the second soldering contact inserted into the insulative housing and electrically contacting the second mating contacts.

    摘要: A straddle high density electrical connector of the present invention comprises an insulative housing forming a projecting portion, a shield covering the projecting portion of the insulative housing, a pair of hooks, a plurality of terminals receiving in the insulative housing, and a pair of rivets for fastening the insulative housing, the shield and the hooks together. The insulative housing further comprises a pair of clamps positioned adjacent both ends thereof and extending rearwardly for clipping a printed circuit board therebetween. Each hook is positioned adjacent the corresponding clamp and has a pair of legs extending rearwardly from the housing, each leg has a tip at a free end thereof for inserting into a corresponding through hole defined in the printed circuit board which the electrical connector is mounted onto. In addition, each clamp comprises an upper receiving surface for engaging with the upper surface of the printed circuit board and a lower receiving surface for engaging with the lower surface of the printed circuit board, a triangular-shaped rib being formed on the lower receiving surface. Each tip of each hook projects beyond the corresponding upper receiving surface or lower receiving surface of a corresponding clamp, respectively.
