Abstract: A cassette for use in cassette-loaded motion picture projectors has a pair of sections one of which carries a separable retaining member which can be used to secure the inner end of convoluted motion picture film to the hub of a supply reel. The retaining member is glued to or integral with the respective section and can be broken off by the user to be inserted into a socket of the supply reel in order to clamp the inner end of the film against the inner side of the hub. The position of the retaining member on the one section can be such that a supply reel can be inserted into the housing only when the retaining member is detached. The retaining member does not interfere with insertion of an empty supply reel.
