    摘要： A frame counter for 8-millimeter motion picture film which comprises two coaxial toothed disks one of which is provided with indicia representing different numbers of film frames and the other of which has alternating deeper and shallower tooth spaces. A pawl is driven by the film-transporting mechanism of the camera to repeatedly index the other disk and to index the one disk only when its pallet extends into a deeper tooth space.

    摘要： A magazine for motion-picture film which comprises a casing having first and second chambers for convoluted exposed and unexposed film, a core member rotatable in the first chamber and coaxial with unexposed film in the second chamber to respectively collect and pay out exposed film during rotation in first and second directions, and a blocking device including a sleeve movable axially of but rotatable with the core member and a disk mounted in the casing. A spring biases the sleeve into engagement with the disk to hold the core member against rotation in the second direction. A rotary output member of a drive in the camera moves the sleeve axially and away from engagement with the disk when the magazine is properly attached to the camera whereby the core member can be rotated in either direction as long as the magazine remains attached to the camera.

    摘要： A photographic camera wherein the exposure control is automatically adjusted as a function of the speed of film in the inserted magazine. The camera has a door which opens automatically in response to unlocking and thereby disengages one or more scanning members from coding elements on the inserted magazine. The scanning member or members form part of one or more slides which are coupled to one or more adjustable parts of the exposure control and are biased in directions to move the scanning members into engagement with the corresponding coding elements. The door opening mechanism includes a strong spring which biases a lever against the door so that the lever tends to move the door toward its open position. The lever engages and retracts the slide or slides while it pivots in a direction to open the door.

    摘要： A photographic camera wherein a filter is moved away from the path of incoming scene light in response to attachment of a source of artificial light. The filter is also movable by way of a manually operated selector which can be locked in a position corresponding to inoperative position of the filter. The selector is automatically unlocked in response to attachment of the light source but continues to hold the filter away from the path of incoming light as long as the light source remains attached. A spring returns the filter into the path of incoming light when the light source is detached so that the camera is then ready for making of exposures in daylight.

    摘要： A photographic camera which utilizes magazines provided with coding marks indicating the film type therein has a movable detector which can be engaged by the coding mark of that magazine which is inserted into the camera to thereby move one of several light-transmitting flags into the view finder window. The color and/or other characteristics of each flag are representative of a particular film type. The detector is further movable by a pusher which is caused to change its position in response to attachment of an illuminating arrangement.
