Abstract:
A programmable network architecture that employs a software based, modular functional infrastructure with standard interfaces is utilized for mobile core networks. In one aspect, network services and/or functions can be built and addressed as resources that are configured and/or accessed with standard and/or open application program interfaces (APIs). The disclosed network architecture provides real-time and on-demand network configurations and dynamic service provisioning.
Abstract:
A context-aware network service engine is employed to support integrated network. In one aspect, the network service engine can receive a message associated with the user's intent and/or situation via a standard and/or open application programming interface (API). Based on an analysis of the message with context data and/or defined policy data, the network service engine can establish procedures to provide integrated services. The integrated services can comprise multiple communication services that are initiated simultaneously (or substantially simultaneously) in response to receiving the message. As an example, the context data can comprise user-related data, real-time network resource availability, presence data, and the like. As an example, the network services can be initiated concurrently and/or in a specified order.
Abstract:
A network aware data driven Internet of things (IoT) service engine is presented herein. A method can comprise receiving a policy rule from a network device of respective network devices—the policy rule corresponding to a sensor of a group of sensors that have been configured to transmit information of respective services to the respective network devices using an Internet protocol, and the policy rule defining an action to be performed by the system in response to a behavior of the sensor being determined to satisfy a defined condition specified by the policy rule with respect to a service of the respective services; based on the policy rule, monitoring the behavior of the sensor; and in response to determining that the behavior of the sensor satisfies the defined condition, performing the action on behalf of the network device.

Abstract:
A software defined networking controller can be provided to manage sharing of information relating to roaming requests for mobile devices that are roaming on visited networks. The software defined networking controller can be a sub-instance of a main software defined networking controller that manages traffic within the home network, and the software defined networking controller can sit at the edge of the home network and control edge routing elements. The edge software defined networking controller may communicate with roaming partner's edge software defined networking controller and/or with the roaming interconnect operator's software defined networking controller to exchange roaming related information.

Abstract:
A method and non-transitory computer readable medium for provisioning services for machine to machine communication devices in a communications network. For example, the method receives a request from a third party service provider to provision a service to a user of the third party service provider, determines whether a communication network service provider of the communications network and the third party service provider have a pre-existing agreement to provision the service, and provisions the service of the third party service provider to the user via the communications network in accordance with the pre-existing agreement, wherein the user is a subscriber of the communication network service provider.
Abstract:
Master privacy policies for different users are stored to a cloud-based central server. When a user interacts with a third-party service (such as FACEBOOK® or AMAZON®), the third party service may require acceptance of privacy policies before services are rendered. Here the cloud-based central server may automatically configure a privacy policy of the third-party service to the user's master privacy policy. The cloud-based central server thus relives the user of managing many different privacy policies required by many different third party service providers.
Abstract:
A cache server disposed in a motor vehicle receives and caches content from a content distribution network when a load of a cellular link to the content distribution network is low. The cache server determines that the motor vehicle is turned off, broadcasts a wireless signal as part of a wireless network when the motor vehicle is turned off, and provides a device access to the content cached in the cache server via the wireless network.
