    摘要: An inverter device has a full-wave rectifier providing a pulsating DC voltage from an input AC voltage, a smoothing circuit. The smoothing circuit includes a choke coil, a smoothing capacitor and a switching element chopping the pulsating DC voltage through the choke coil into a smoothed DC voltage at the smoothing capacitor. An inverter is included to have the element common to the smoothing circuit and operating to switch the smoothed DC voltage to apply a resulting voltage to a load circuit including a load, inductance and capacitor. The inductance and capacitor define an oscillation circuit providing to the load an oscillating current composed of first and second currents of opposite directions. The oscillating current alternating to flow for a nominal on-time duration determined by a circuit constant of the oscillation circuit itself. A controller is included to detect the termination of the second current and excites the common switching element at a timing dependent upon the termination of the second current so as to start flowing the first current. The controller includes a timer for separately controlling an actual on-time duration for flowing the first current within the nominal on-time duration, whereby enabling to regulate the accumulated DC voltage in the smoothing capacitor at a desired level by controlling to vary the actual on-time duration of the common switching element.

    摘要: A mucosal vaccine producing an antigen-specific mucosal IgA and a blood IgG in the levels capable of exerting an effective immune induction and an infection-preventing effect, which comprises: (a) an AD vehicle consisting of a synthetic peptide and a lipid(s), wherein the synthetic peptide consisting of the amino acid sequence KnLm (wherein n is 4 to 8 and m is 11 to 20); (b) a carboxylvinyl polymer; and, (c) an antigenic protein, in an amount incapable of producing a sufficient mucosal IgA and blood IgG for exerting an effective immune induction and an infection-preventing effect when used by itself. The mucosal vaccine of the invention has an antibody producing ability which is more potent than those of mucosal vaccines of the prior art, and as a result it can exert an excellent effect even with an extremely small amount of an antigen.

The determination unit has a comparator for comparing a detection value detected by the detection unit to a predetermined threshold, and determines that the illumination load has a capacitance based on an output of the comparator. The voltage applying unit lights on the determined illumination load with a rated driving voltage.

    摘要: A dimmable electronic ballast for an electrodeless discharge lamp comprises an inverter circuit, a resonance circuit, an induction coil and a start circuit. The start circuit has a variable time constant. The start circuit sweeps a drive frequency of the inverter circuit through a time constant for start or restart so that the voltage applied across the coil is raised from voltage lower than start voltage and restart voltage for starting and restarting the lamp to voltage higher than the start voltage and the restart voltage. The time constant for start during a start period for starting the lamp is larger than the time constant for restart during a restart period for restarting the lamp.

The control circuit performs a startup preparation operation by which to control the high-frequency power supply circuit so that, immediately after the alternating current voltage begins to be outputted from the high-frequency power supply circuit to the induction coil, the alternating current voltage is gradually increased to such a voltage value as not to generate arc discharge in the induction lamp and then kept at the voltage value for a specified time.

    摘要: A ballast for an electrodeless discharge lamp includes a high frequency power supply that supplies a high frequency electric power to an induction coil for operating the lamp. A dimmer controller generates a control signal in response to a dimmer command designating a varying dimming ratio. The control signal defines a first period Ton in which the power supply is controlled to apply a coil voltage of a first level V1 to the induction coil for operating the lamp. The first period is followed by a second period Toff in which the power supply is controlled to apply the coil voltage of a second level V2 that is lower than the first level and fails to sustain the lamp. The control signal defines, between the second period and the first period, a starting period Tst in which the coil voltage increases continuously for smooth transition from an off-condition to an on-condition of the lamp.
