摘要： A reel stand includes (a) a reel base for engaging a reel and driving the reel, (b) a bearing disposed in the reel base and being extended through by a rotary shaft, and (c) a spring being urged to the rotary shaft. This construction allows the reel stand to integrate a brake torque mechanism into its downsized body, and to provide a tape with uniform tape tension when the tape is taken up or supplied. The spring is pressed to the shaft to produce brake torque, which lowers the peripheral velocity of the shaft. As a result, less frictional heat is produced, which reduces changes in friction factors due to the heat.

The apparatus includes: a first chassis into which the tape cassette is inserted; and a second chassis having the rotary head cylinder mounted thereon and guiding movements of the first chassis toward and away from the rotary head cylinder, wherein the first chassis includes a chassis driving plate mounted thereon for adjusting a position of the first chassis relative to the second chassis, the second chassis includes a chassis driving arm mounted thereon for driving the first chassis, the chassis driving plate has a cam surface having a portion which is not perpendicular to a direction of the movement of the first chassis, the chassis driving arm has a protrusion which engages with the cam surface, and the chassis driving plate is disposed so as to be positionally adjusted by being moved in a direction substantially perpendicular to the direction of the movement of the first chassis.

摘要： A magnetic recording/reproduction apparatus of the present invention, which records/reproduces information on/from a magnetic tape by passing the tape around a rotary head cylinder having a rotary head for a predetermined arc, includes: a capstan shaft; a pinch roller; a first reel base rotatably attached to a shaft; a second reel base rotatably attached to a shaft; and an idler supported swingably to swing to the second reel base when the capstan is rotated in a first direction and to the first reel base when the capstan shaft is rotated in a second direction, wherein the idler includes a gear portion which rotates in association with the rotation of the capstan shaft. The above components of the magnetic recording/reproduction apparatus are situated in such a manner that when the running of a magnetic tape is to be shifted from a first direction to a second direction, the rotation of the capstan shaft, in the first direction stops, the pinch roller moves away from the capstan shaft, the capstan shaft is rotated in the second direction by a predetermined amount so that the idler swings to the first reel base, the capstan shaft stops again, the pinch roller presses the magnetic tape against the capstan shaft, and the capstan shaft is rotated again in the second direction and the gear portion to be coupled with the first reel base, the gear portion rotating the first reel base in a direction in which the magnetic tape is wound onto the first reel.

To achieve the object, a main arm 26 and a sub-arm 29 are constituted so as not to intersect with a photo detector 31 always during rotating operation within a plane including the photo detector 31, and the dimension can be hence reduced in the width direction of the apparatus, and moreover as the wall thickness of MIC-SW 46 is reduced, the upper end of the MIC-SW 46 is held by a back plate 48, so that the dimension of the apparatus can be reduced also in the depth direction, and further a cassette holder 13 is locked by a damper 42 to prevent effects from outside when a sub-chassis 19 moves from unloading position to loading position.

摘要： A tape guide post mechanism for guiding running of a tape is provided. The tape guide post mechanism includes a post arm, the post arm including a tape guide post, around which the tape is looped, and which guides running of the tape, and a hole. The tape guide post mechanism further includes an arm shaft which engages with the hole and rotatably supports the post arm. The arm shaft has an elastic portion which presses a portion of the post arm. As a result a small sized, inexpensive tape guide post mechanism, which has a simple structure, in which the slant of each element is accurately controlled, and which achieves decreases in size and cost of the magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus, can be obtained.

摘要： A magnetic recording/reproduction apparatus is disclosed which has a first state in which a tape cassette is placed on a chassis and a second state which includes a PLAY mode, a REV mode and a STOP mode. The apparatus comprises: a reel base rotatably mounted on the chassis via a shaft and engaging with a reel which holds the magnetic tape wound thereon in the tape cassette; a tension post allowing the magnetic tape to pass around a periphery thereof in the second state; and a tension arm supporting the tension post at a fixed position of the tension arm, the tension arm being swingably mounted on the chassis, the reel base including a drum portion rotating integrally with the reel base. The apparatus further comprises: a tension band having a center portion passing around the drum portion and one end swingably held by the tension around the arm; and a tension band regulating arm movably supported by the chassis, the tension band regulating arm holding the other end of the tension band. When the magnetic tape runs in a forward direction in the PLAY mode, the tension band permits the apparatus to control the tension of the magnetic tape, and when the magnetic tape runs in one of the second state modes, the tension band regulating arm moves to a position at which the tension band is loosened and the tension arm is fixed in a first position as in the PLAY mode.
