    摘要: A hot isostatic pressing system including a hot isostatic pressing station having a high pressure container constituted by a vertical pressure-resistant cylinder closed at the top end thereof and a lower lid detachably fitted to the bottom of the pressure resistant cylinder and a treating chamber internally provided with a heater and enclosed by a heat insulating wall, and a mechanism for adjusting an atmospheric gas pressure and temperature of the pressing station into a condition suitable for the hot isostatic pressing of a work item accommodated in the treating chamber; a plurality of auxiliary stations each provided with an opening for receiving from beneath thereof the heat insulating wall of the treating chamber accommodating the internal heater and a work item, a support structure for supporting the heat insulating wall, and a mechanism for cooling the work item and internal heater in an inert gas atmosphere; a carriage for transferring the lower lid and work item or the lower lid, work item, heat insulating wall and internal heater between the hot isostatic pressing station and one of the auxiliary stations; and a lift mechanism for lifting up and down the lower lid and work item or the lower lid, work item, heat insulating wall and heater at the hot isostatic pressing station and each one of the auxiliary stations.

    摘要: A hot isostatic pressing apparatus equipped with at least one hot isostatic pressing vessel having a detachable bottom lid and at least one cooling or preheating cylinder or hot isostatic pressing vessel arranged substantially on a central horizontal extension of the former vessel, which apparatus includes a rail provided in front of the former vessel and cylinder or the latter vessel with an interval between the rail and the former vessel and the cylinder or the latter vessel; and a carrier capable of reciprocally travelling between the former vessel and the cylinder or the latter vessel and including a lift frame, a lift provided with the frame and a bottom lid cradle, the cradle being provided in the form of a cantilever with lift and extending to a point underneath the former vessel when the carrier assumes a position in front of the former vessel and to another point underneath the cylinder or the latter vessel when the carrier assumes a position in front of the cylinder or the latter vessel. The above construction permits smooth and free travelling of the carrier and facilitates the overall size reduction and maintenance of the HIP apparatus. Only one carrier is required even if a plurality of HIP vessels or a plurality of HIP vessels and preheating/cooling cylinders is provided so as to improve production efficiency.

    摘要: A hydrostatic extrusion process and an apparatus therefor includes a mandrel and a stem which are movable independently of each other, and a seal block which is utilized for increasing the pressure of the pressure medium for performance of the extrusion operation of the billet. A supply device pre-disposes an extrusion die, a billet, pressure medium, and a seal block within a supply unit or sleeve and is capable of being moved from a position exterior of the extrusion apparatus station to a position corresponding to the extrusion station, and in this manner, the time period required for completing extrusion cycles is substantially reduced. Still further, a locking mechanism, including a locking slide and a locking plate, are operatively associated with the mandrel for controlling or limiting the axial movement of the mandrel so as to in turn control the loading and tensioning of the same in order to prevent damage thereto.

    摘要: A billet scalper including a die assembly with a scalping die, a pressing mechanism with a stem member in axial alignment with the scalping die for pressing a billet thereinto, and a chip ejector located around the circumference of the scalping die and movable axially back and forth beyond a free end face of the scalping die to remove chips therefrom. The die assembly including the scalping die is movable between a position at the center of the scalper and an outer receded position to permit easy maintenance and service of the die assembly including replacements and cleaning of scalping dies. In a preferred form, the scalper is constructed integrally with an extrusion press to perform the billet scalping operation in timed relation with the extruding operation to shorten the time of press cycle.
