    摘要: A gas discharge panel capable of high-speed driving at a low drive voltage, while suppressing the occurrence of write errors in a write period, and a manufacturing method for the same. To achieve this, in the gas discharge panel of the present invention, a secondary gas formed from at least one of carbon dioxide, water vapor, oxygen and nitrogen is induced into discharge spaces 30 evacuated until the residual gas pressure is 0.02 mPa or less, and an He—Xe or Ne—Xe rare gas (discharge gas) is induced into discharge spaces 30. The amount of the secondary gas included within discharge spaces 30 when, for example, carbon dioxide is included therein, is suitably set in terms of both a discharge starting voltage and an electron emission ability, so that the partial pressure of the carbon dioxide is in a range of 0.05 mPa to 0.5 mPa inclusive.

    摘要: A plasma display panel capable of realizing improvement in the characteristics thereof, such as lower discharge voltage, more stable discharge, higher luminance, higher efficiency, and longer life. During a step of sealing the periphery of substrates or before this sealing step, impurity gas other then inert gas is adsorbed by phosphor layers. The impurity gas is released into discharge gas and the impurity is added to the discharge gas in a controlled manner while the panel is lit. This method can realize improvement in characteristics, such as lower discharge voltage, higher luminance, higher efficiency, and longer life.

    摘要: A shaft sealing device in which a load acting on a sliding section of the device is reduced to extend the life of the device and which permits no leakage of fluid in a machine to an atmospheric air to eliminate the need of recovery of the fluid. The shaft sealing device has seals arranged in three stages in the axial direction between a seal case and a rotating shaft passed through the inner periphery of the seal case. Of the seals of the three stages, a first-stage seal on the machine's inner side and a third-stage seal on the machine's outer side have a contact type mechanical seal structure in which a rotational sealing element and a stationary sealing element are in close sliding contact with each other. Further, of the seals of the three stages, the intermediate second-stage seal has a contactless mechanical seal structure in which a rotational sealing element and a stationary sealing element are kept by dynamic pressure so as not to be in contact with each other. A high-pressure sealing liquid is supplied by the pressure of fluid in the machine to an annular space surrounded by that portion of the seal case which extends from the first-stage seal to the second-stage seal.

    摘要: A computer implemented method determines interest in video portions. A media stream including frames, and a composite rating counter including interest levels are retrieved. Each interest level corresponds to a frame. When viewed at normal playback rate, interest levels associated with the frame are increased by a normal amount. Interest levels associated with the frame are increased or decreased by an augmented amount based on a relative window size compared to the default window size, an order of z-index among all open windows, and a user selection of the frame indicating an interest level. The composite rating counter is updated based on a current count of the interest levels. The updated composite interest level is then stored for future retrieval by a subsequent user.
