摘要: A public notification system includes a first database comprising phone numbers and one or more data fields associated with each phone number. Phone numbers (callees) in the first database are selected based on the data fields associated therewith. A recorded voice message is transmitted to callees through a plurality of outgoing phone lines, and callees are prompted to enter one of several dial codes, which is recorded. The database record for the callee is automatically updated based on the response dial code, so that the updated field may be used to select whether to send a future call to the callee. A second database comprising records identifying convicted criminals is also included in the public notification system. Each record in the second database comprises one or more data fields associated with a convicted criminal. If the callee's dial code response indicates an interest in receiving information about convicted criminals, future calls will be made to the callee concerning the existence of convicted criminals in a particular geographic area of interest to the callee.

摘要: A system and method are provided wherein SMS-only contacts are integrated into an IM environment. An IM contact list interface distinguishes between SMS and IM chats (and contacts), such that limitations and potential differential costs associated with the respective mediums can be identified. The system is also configured to route SMS messages into the IM contact list interface for later filtering and/or selection by the user. By providing SMS-specific categories with the IM contact list interface SMS integration operations such as routing of SMS messages can be controlled to avoid degrading the user's experience.

摘要: Methods of application and compositions of foliar fertilizers are specifically chosen to address crop nutritive demands varying with growth stage. Two separately timed applications of foliar fertilizers are described. One corresponds to a bud emergence or seedling germination stage of plant development and the other corresponds to a reproductive or fruiting period of the crop's life cycle. Concentrations of required nutrients are related to the amount removed in crop production. Leaf surface penetration enhancers are added to each foliar fertilizer to increase nutrient uptake by the plants.

摘要: A system is provided to aid in the laying out of circuits on a semiconductor wafer, in which a wafer map is automatically generated when entering chip sizes, arrangements and other enterable factors, with the goal to maximize yield probability. The subject system accommodates different chip types and arrangements within a wafer map and addresses edge exclusion, the utilization of chiplets and the accommodation of different centering techniques, including a variety of ways of measuring offsets, while outputting a display of the replicated circuits on the wafer as well as chip count and density, utilizing a portable, tailorable, extendable PC-based program featuring an easy-to-use graphical interface. The software application provides the user with different graphical views customized for the different process areas, such as lithography and dicing, with the application being useful for any semiconductor manufacturing facility, foundry or similar industry that needs to generate wafer maps automatically to maximize yield probability.

摘要: A curling broom includes an elongate shaft having opposed first and second ends, the first end being graspable by a sweeper and being attached to a broom head attachment plate located at the second end. A curling broom head is attached to the broom head receptacle for sweeping an ice surface. The broom head includes a base section, a reflective constituent selected to reflect infrared radiation which can be a layer secured to a bottom surface of the base section, or the top of the woven fabric or both or a reflective powder incorporated into a foam pad attached to the base section, (or the foam pad being metalized), or an outer surface of an outer fabric layer being metalized and secured to the base section. Infrared radiation generated by sweeping the ice is reflected by the reflective layer back towards the ice surface for further heating the ice surface.
