摘要: A frame rate converter that receives segments having an input frame rate and provides the segments at a rate of N times the frame rate, where each segment is selected from a group consisting of a frame or field, including: a storage device which stores the segments, where the segments include a first, second, and third segments; and a display device coupled to receive the segments from the storage device and to provide the first, second, and third segments, where the display device provides the first segment and then provides the second segment following completion of providing the first segment where the second segment is previously available or otherwise again provides the first segment. The frame rate converter further includes a decoder device, where the third segment includes a field that includes a top line of an alternate frame and is encoded in 3:2 format and where the decoder device adjusts a time stamp of the third segment.

摘要: A piezoelectric plate sensor comprising a piezoelectric layer; two electrodes; and an insulation layer. The insulation layer is produced by soaking the piezoelectric layer and two electrodes in a mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane solution with an amount of water from 0.1 v/v. % to about 1 v/v % and at pH from about 8 to about 150 for a period from about 8 to about 15 hours, and the mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane solution has a concentration of mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane from about 0.01 v/v % to about 0.5 v/v %. A method of detecting a biomolecule in a sample using the piezoelectric plate sensor in particular, that of detecting a genetic marker with PCR sensitivity and specificity without the need of DNA isolation or amplification is also provided. The piezoelectric plate sensor may be used to diagnose various diseases including breast cancer, myocardial infarction, diarrhea, Clostridium difficile infection, and hepatitis B infection.

摘要: Systems, methods, and devices for obtaining a properly exposed strobe-illuminated image are provided. One method for doing so may include, for example, gathering image capture statistics during a first period when a strobe is not emitting light and during a second period when the strobe emits a preflash. These image capture statistics may include distinct image capture control statistics and luma values associated with the periods. Final image capture control statistics then may be determined based at least in part on the first luma value normalized to the first image capture control statistics and the second luma value normalized to the second image capture control statistics. Thereafter, the final image capture control statistics may be used to capture a properly exposed strobe-illuminated image when the strobe emits a main flash.

摘要: Techniques for accomplishing transitions between graphical data representations (e.g., charts, graphs, and so forth) are disclosed. In accordance with these techniques, each object in such a graphical data representation is individually manipulable during transitions. In certain embodiments, the presence of an object in both the outgoing and incoming graphical data representation may be taken into account during a transition. In such embodiments, differences between the objects in the outgoing and incoming graphical data representation may be addressed by the respective transition.

摘要: A method and apparatus for motion estimation for encoding sequential frames is described. One embodiment of the invention provides efficiency by checking only four points surrounding a given point. Scores may be calculated corresponding to a level of difference between the given point in a reference frame and the points in a candidate frame. The efficiency may be further enhanced by storing scores of previously examined points for later use. The scores may be stored in a table. The table may be initialized to have invalid scores or scores corresponding to a great difference along search window boundaries to prevent searching outside of the search window boundaries. One embodiment of the invention implements a sliding window technique for efficient computation.

摘要: Some embodiments provide a method of processing images for a first camera and a second camera of a mobile device using a shared pipeline. A method receives a first set of images captured by the first camera of the mobile device. The method processes the first set of images using a first configuration of the shared pipeline. The method also receives a second set of images captured by the second camera of the mobile device, and processes the second set of images using a second configuration of the shared pipeline different from the first configuration.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a digital video camera is provided. The method comprises acquiring video images of colored light, and measuring a light intensity response of the video camera to the colored light. The method further comprises comparing the intensity of the measured response to a desired colored light intensity for determining a color intensity bias and storing the intensity bias for the colored light in the camera so that the bias can be applied when the camera is operating at an arbitrary lighting condition.
