摘要: Systems, methods and non-transitory computer readable media for allowing a user to switch between wearable items that have been paired or associated with an electronic device, such as a smartphone, are described. In one embodiment, the wearable items automatically detect a removal of a first wearable item from a user's body and an attachment of a second wearable item to the user's body. Messages from the wearable items are transmitted to the electronic device to allow the electronic device to switch the active wearable item from the first wearable item to the second wearable item. The switch can occur while the electronic device is in a locked state, and the electronic device can synchronize the second wearable item with data received from the first wearable item. Other embodiments are also described.

摘要: Aspects of subject technology provide systems and methods for generation and distribution of a stable identifier associated with multiple aliases of a user account. The stable identifier may be provided to various electronic devices by a server, responsive to requests associated with communications to those devices from one of the associated aliases. In this way, messaging applications can utilize the stable identifier to merge conversations from a single user having multiple aliases, and secure access to a secure device can be provided to an authorized user, even if the authorized user attempts access from an unauthorized account alias.

摘要: Techniques are disclosed relating to multiway communications. In some embodiments, a first electronic device initiates a multiway call between a plurality of electronic devices and exchanges a first secret with a first set of electronic devices participating during a first portion of the multiway call, the first secret being used to encrypt traffic between the first set of electronic devices. The first electronic device receives an indication that first set of participating electronic devices has changed and, in response to the indication, exchanges a second secret with a second set of electronic devices participating during a second portion of the multiway call, the second secret being used to encrypt traffic between the second set of participating electronic devices. In some embodiments, the indication identifies a second electronic device as leaving the multiway call, and the second secret is not exchanged with the second electronic device.

摘要: Messaging between a companion device and an accessory device is controlled such that different modes of communication may be utilized. The different modes can implement different messaging strategies, each of which is intended for efficient power management, in view of the limited electrical power that is typically available at the accessory device. A received request message for sending from the companion device to the accessory device is sent if predetermined conditions apply, and similarly for messages from the accessory device to the companion device.

摘要: A notification server may be configured to receive a message from a device, determine a device location from the message, determine a location identifier corresponding to the determined device location, and send the location identifier to the device. The device may be configured to generate a configuration identifier based on the location identifier and send a configuration data request including the configuration identifier to a cache server. The cache server may be configured to receive the configuration data request from the device, select a device configuration corresponding to the configuration identifier, where the device configuration is specific to the device location, and send the selected device configuration to the device. The device may be further configured to configure the device according to the selected device configuration.

摘要: A device implementing a system for notifying a first device of availability of a service on a second device includes a processor configured to receive, from the first device of a first user, a. first request with respect to whether a service is available on the second device of a second user, and to determine that the service is not available on the second device. The processor is further configured to send, to the first device and in response to the determination, an indication that the service is not available on the second device and an indication of a minimum amount of time before the first device can submit a second request with respect to whether the service is available on the second device. The minimum amount of time is based at least partially on an amount of time that has elapsed since the service was made available to the devices.

摘要: A user equipment (UE) device and associated methods for entering a suspended baseband state in response to a signal strength indicator falling below a threshold. A UE engages in an active connection with a remote server, which may be a transmission control protocol (TCP) push connection. A baseband layer of the UE determines that the signal strength indicator has fallen below a threshold, and transmits a notification to an application layer of the UE to suspend the connection. The baseband layer may later determine that the signal strength has risen above a second threshold, whereby the UE may resume the suspended connection. The UE may maintain state information associated with the connection during the suspended state, such that the UE may resume the suspended connection without reestablishing a new connection with the remote server.

摘要: A companion device (e.g., smart phone) and an accessory device (e.g., wearable device) may be configured to communicate messages to each other to flexibly share information, such as emails, text messages, calendar notifications, and media library items. This communication may occur through a direct connection (e.g., Bluetooth) and when the devices are connected to a common Wi-Fi access point. When these direct and common infrastructure connections are not available, the devices may communicate messages between them using a cloud server. This cloud server message communication may advantageously enable the companion device and the accessory device to share messages even when they are physically distant from each other.
