摘要:
Systems and methods are provided for zero buffer copying. In accordance with an embodiment, such a system can include one or more high performance computing systems, each including one or more processors and a high performance memory. The system can further include a user space, which includes a Java virtual machine (JVM) and one or more application server instances. Additionally, the system can include a plurality of byte buffers accesible to the JVM and the one or more application server instances. When a request is received by a first application server instance data associated with the request is stored in a heap space associated with the JVM, and the JVM pins the portion of the heap space where the data is stored. The data is pushed to a first byte buffer where it is accessed by the first application server instance. A response is generated by the first application server using the data, and the response is sent by the first application server.

A system and method for providing a middleware machine or similar platform. In accordance with an embodiment the system (referred to herein in some implementations as “Exalogic”) comprises a combination of high performance hardware, together with an application server or middleware environment, to provide a complete Java EE application server complex which includes a massively parallel in-memory grid, can be provisioned quickly, and can scale on demand. In accordance with an embodiment, the system can be deployed as a full, half, or quarter rack, or other configuration, that provides an application server grid, storage area network, and InfiniBand network, which support the execution of an application server, middleware or other functionality such as, for example, WebLogic Server, JRockit or Hotspot JVM, Oracle Linux or Solaris, and Oracle VM. Additional features of the system can include, e.g. Zero Buffer Copies, Scatter/Gather I/O, T3 Connections, and Lazy Deserialization.

摘要:
A system and method for providing virtual machine diagnostic information. In accordance with an embodiment, a “flight recorder”, for use with a virtual machine, such as a Java virtual machine (JVM), allows a system administrator, software developer or other user experiencing a system problem to “go back in time” and analyze what happened right before a particular problem occurred in their system, and/or obtain an extremely detailed level of profiling without impacting system performance. The flight recorder does this by being tightly integrated into the core of the JVM itself, and by being very conscious of its performance overhead. This allows the flight recorder to provide a large amount of information on the inner workings of the JVM, and on Java programs running in the JVM.

摘要:
A thread-cutting insert includes a body and a cutting tip projecting therefrom. The cutting tip includes: a cutting edge formed by a nose edge at a front end of the cutting tip, an active cutting edge disposed on one side of a bisector of the cutting tip, and a passive edge disposed on the other side of the bisector. One thread flank is cut in a workpiece by the active cutting edge. The other thread flank is cut by the nose edge. The passive cutting edge extends rearwardly from the nose edge and is recessed inwardly from the thread flank being cut by the nose edge.
