摘要： According to aspects illustrated herein, a system, a printmaking device, and a method for pre-curling and registering media are provided herein. The system includes a media curler system and a deskew mechanism. The media curler system pre-curls at least one of lead edge and a trail edge of a sheet before delivery to a media hold-down transport. The deskew mechanism is coupled to the media curler system for pivoting the media curler system about a pivot axis to deskew the sheet. The pivot axis extends perpendicular to the media transport path. In operation, as the lead edge enters the pre-curling and registration system, the media curler system pre-curls the sheet towards the media hold-down transport. As the sheet is being pre-curled, the deskew mechanism pivots the media curler system about the pivot axis to correct any skew errors in the sheet.

摘要： A connecting apparatus for connecting one end of a spring of a time-delay fuse to a hollow body of the fuse and a method for its manufacture is disclosed. The apparatus includes two transverse slots formed in the end of the body. An insert is placed in the slots. A central portion of the insert is disposed in the interior of the hollow body. An opening, such as one or more slots, is provided in the central portion of the insert for attaching one end of a spring to the insert and the body of the fuse. The other end of the spring is adapted to connect to a fusible element of the time-delay fuse. The method of manufacture of the apparatus includes forming transverse slots in the end of a hollow tube, placing the insert in the slots, and attaching one end of the spring to an opening in the insert. An alternative method of manufacture includes molding the hollow tube with an integral transverse member across the end of the tube, the transverse member having an opening in it. The spring of the time-delay fuse is then connected to the opening of the transverse member as a step in fabricating the fuse.

摘要： A quad roll sheet curl control apparatus uses elastomer first and second rolls forming first and second nips with third and fourth rolls. The first and second rolls have compressible surfaces, while the third and fourth roll surfaces are formed of a substantially uncompressible material. A pivotable gate member in operating relationship with the first and second nips directs sheets to either the first or the second nip whereby the desired decurling orientation is achieved for the sheet by either the elastomer first roll or the elastomer second roll. Switching nips and curl to be induced does not require drive reversal as previous decurler arrangements do. The degree of decurling can be adjusted with at least one cam in communication with at least one of the first and second rolls.

摘要： An EMI shielded collapsible enclosure includes an upper enclosure half having a top wall connecting a surrounding upper sidewall, the top wall and upper sidewall being adapted to provide EMI resistance. A lower enclosure half has a bottom wall connecting a surrounding sidewall, the bottom wall and lower sidewall being adapted to provide EMI resistance. The upper sidewall and lower sidewall are of similar shape, with one smaller than the other to be telescopically received therein. Actuators are operatively associated with the upper enclosure half and the lower enclosure half for selectively extending or retracting the enclosure halves between a transport mode and an operational mode, an interior space defined by the upper enclosure half and the lower enclosure half being substantially larger in the operational mode.

摘要： This invention uses a paper registration device with a paper transport and a stalled roll together with an upstream and downstream CIS to enable paper skew measurements. The upstream CIS is positioned on a paper sheet transport between a beginning pre-registration nip and a buckle control sensor. A second downstream CIS is aligned with the first upstream CIS to provide skew measurement on the same side of a paper sheet. An advantage of this registration device is that it simultaneously corrects registration in a process direction, a cross process direction and corrects skew angle.

摘要： A high capacity portable sheet cassette tray assembly for supporting and positioning a stack of sheets for feeding reliably, one at a time, in a sheet using machine. The high capacity cassette tray assembly includes a cassette frame for removing and reinstalling into a sheet supply station of the sheet using machine. The cassette frame has a front end over which sheets are fed into the machine, and forward feed corner snubbers that are mounted to the front end of the cassette frame. The high capacity cassette tray assembly also includes a liftable base plate mounted within the cassette frame for supporting a high capacity stack of sheets having a topmost sheet. Further, the high capacity cassette tray includes a constant angle parallelogram lifting assembly that has a rear end connected to the cassette frame, and a front end connected to the liftable base plate for lifting and supporting the base plate and a topmost sheet of a stack of sheets on the base plate. The base plate and a topmost sheet of a stack of sheets, as lifted and supported regardless of a number of sheets in the stack of sheets, have a continuously constant sheet feeding angle relative to a horizontal plane through the forward feed corner snubbers of the cassette frame.
